This place sucks. The enclosures either have too many plants or not enough plants, and some enclosures have too much water or not enough water, and a lot of the enclosures have less space for the animal to roam around and a lot of the bird cages have mixed species and with my wildlife knowledge some birds don't carry any interspecies enrichment, The enclosures that I'm sad with is the African Crested Porcupine because, these species like burrowing but I understand that they dint allowed them to burrow but they could just put atleast 30 inches of fences underground and cover the bottom with fencing and fill it back up that way the porcupines have something to do, same with the Prarie Dogs. The Bengal Tiger and the bear enclosure don't have enough space. AND one more thing! There are not enough zookeepers to patrol the area. People smoke in some areas, and some kids keep throwing food and keep annoying animals like making sounds that animals don't like and knocking stuff on the barrier between us and the animals. In conclusion, never EVER come to this place if you're and wildlife lover 'cause...
Read moreI found myself at this zoo. It was free entry I think? I liked the location with the towering limestone cliffs. I was not too keen on the zoo. I don't see the point of them. This zoo had big paddocks for some animals and really small cages for others. There are a lot of deer and caged birds. The lemurs were in a small cage and had their backs to visitors. As primate cousins I hoped it was a peaceful protest on their confiment. An ostritch, two camels, two tigers and a few other animals in often confined spaces. It did smell too but, hey, animals. One python. A few Asian black bears and iguanas in with other animals. All the animals looked bored. There are a lot of enclosures with multiple spieces in them. Without pictures, how can you identify the animals? Bizarre. Anyhow, I'll post a video on Our Man In Bangkok - YouTube if...
Read moreOne of the most beautiful cave we have ever visiting. There are 9 zones in the cave which I strongly recommend you to take a local guide with you as you can enjoy the 500 meters walk path in the cave.
The guide will help to explain you the different shapes of the stone and safely lead the walk where some part could be slippery or otherwise you can get lost in the cave too.
The cave is hot and humid but there are electric fans in there or the local guide will lend you the hand fan which is very helpful. Local guide service is by local people and their service price is up to you appreciation but I suggest to help them with some money as it will support the tourism and the...
