I get why other people upsets about it being a private beach. However, this isn’t uncommon and doesn’t make the beach less beautiful. The beach is most likely public but the path to the beach belongs to the resort and they can restrict access to their “resort”...

Sad to see that this beach is private property in a national park which we paid entry fee for (which also was 2x more for foreigners than Thai people, even with a work permit). Once you arrive all the way from the other side of the island, you'll be directed away from this resort by this rather unfriendly security guard. They might make some money out of it, but this is just an add on to all the 1 star reviews which is not...

Es handelt sich NICHT um einen Privatstrand! Die Wächmänner vor dem Resort verweigern den Zutritt durch das Resort, dieses ist Privat. Die Zimmer gehen ab 500 Euro die Nacht weg, denke desshalb nehmen die Wachmänner ihren Job auch sehr ernst. Für mich verständlich. Im Office des Park Rangers bestätigte mir dieser, dass der Strand jedoch nicht privat ist, auch wenn das Resort Ihn zu beanspruchen scheint. Er gehört zum National Park, ist öffentlich und mit dem Erwerb des Nationalparktickets auch zugänglich für jedermann. Jedoch nicht durch die Einfahrt des Resorts... Einen anderen Weg gibt es nicht, also müssen Sie sich durch den Wald kämpfen. Wir verzichteten und gingen wo anders hin. Schade, das kei öffentlicher Zugang gewährleistet ist... Sehe die Schuld hier jedoch bei der Infrastruktur der Insel und nicht beim Resort. Den Strand an sich kann ich leider...
