Namtok Klong Pla Kang — Attraction in Rayong Province

Beautiful place but complete rip-off. 40 baht for Thais / 200 baht for foreigners. Wow ok well that's just pure racism but we're here now so we cough up 240 baht and make our way to the first level of this 7-level waterfall. Just below the first level they tell us someone's filming a movie and the remaining 6 levels are closed! We can go no further. We go back to the ticket office to complain but they're extremely unhelpful and of course there's no chance of a refund.

Great way to treat tourists!

If you're thinking of coming here - don't. Take a drive around to the other side of the mountain where you will find an amazing cave system with no entrance fee, just some very helpful staff that lent us headlamps and gave some useful advice about the trail. There's a donations box and I suspect (I hope) it receives way more than 240 baht per couple because it's money well earned!

ถ้ำเขาวงกต Cave...

Only went to this location on a motorcycle ride and the drive around that area is quite nice. I paid my 200 baht for national park entrance which is normal for tourist and westerners 50 for Thai national. The walk to different levels is easy going if you have family with children it's not a problem there are stops and tables and places to play in the water. The time that I went there was not much water there, it was nice to walk around the rocks and spend 30 minutes just playing cooling off forna and flora are nice, fish in the water it's clean lovely...

น้ำตก คลองปลาก้าง อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาชะเมา-เขาวง จ.ระยอง น้ำตกเล็กๆ ที่อาจไม่ได้รับความนิยมเท่าไหร่นัก ทั้งๆ ที่อยู่ใกล้น้ำตกใหญ่อย่างน้ำตกเขาชะเมาเพียง 4 กิโลเมตรเท่านั้น น้ำตกคลองปลาก้างเป็นน้ำตกที่มีความยาวลดหลั่นกันประมาณ 3 กิโลเมตรกว่าๆ มีลำธารน้ำตก กลางป่าดงดิบบริสุทธิ์ ข้างๆ ลำธารทั้งสองฝั่งเต็มไปด้วยต้นไม้น้อย ต้นไม้ใหญ่ มีต้นว่านต่างๆ เห็ดและเฟิร์น รวมไปถึงมอสที่ขึ้นปกคลุมหินอย่างหนาแน่น บรรยากาศเขียวขจีตลอดเส้นทาง ส่วนที่มาของชื่อน้ำตกนั่นเขาเล่ากันว่าสมัยก่อนเรียกน้ำตกนี้ว่าน้ำตกคลองปลากั้ง เพราะมีปลากั้งอยู่ชุกชุม ต่อมาด้วยภาษาพูดทำให้ชื่อนั้นเพี้ยนมานิดนึงกลายมาเป็นปลาก้าง ตามคำบอกเล่าของเจ้าหน้าที่เขาบอกว่าปลาก้างมีจำนวนน้อยไม่มากเหมือนแต่ก่อนแล้ว น้ำตกคลองปลาก้างมี 7 ชั้น แบ่งเป็นชั้นเล็กๆ ได้แก่ วังช้างผ่าน (100 ม.) ลานผีเสื้อ (220 ม.) แอ่งเครือสะบ้า (320 ม.) ลานประตูผา (470 ม.) ธารเกาะกลาง (730 ม.) วังกระชาย (780 ม.) และปิดท้ายที่ธารสายหมอก (1000 ม.) รวมระยะทางทั้งหมดเท่ากับ 3,620 เมตร น้ำตกคลองปลาก้าง เป็นน้ำตกที่อยู่เขตอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาชะเมา-เขาวง มีความสวยงาม และมีความบริสุทธิ์ของธรรมชาติ สองฟากฝั่งของน้ำตกปกคลุมไปด้วยป่าหนาแน่น เหมาะสำหรับผู้ที่ชอบศึกษาธรรมชาติ เพราะมีพวกกล้วยไม้ป่า ว่าน เฟิร์น และเห็ด เช่นเห็ดถ้วยสีสวยสดที่หาดูได้ยาก บางช่วงของป่า มีมอสปกคลุมตามโขดหินเขียวขจีไปทั่วทั้งป่า...
