Pretty sad experience. Though the beach had some nice and unique views with mountains on one side and HUGE industrial buildings on the other. Anyways… the area was just abandoned. I walked about 4 km along the beach and I only saw a few guys fishing from the beach, and a couple of street vendors selling water and soda. This might be one of these places that were big before Covid and then never really came back again when Covid ended. I don’t know. All hotels were overgrown and abandoned but some places new ones were being built. Be VERY careful if you go here and do NOT take your kids. The front one is three-story high. It looks not finished. The back one is a few stories taller, and it seems only a few units are occupied. Those two long ugly buildings are the worst backdrop I have seen...

One is tolerable (just) but when there's 2 or 3, it's just a deafening cacophony of pain. This despite many Amphur installed signs stating "No Noise Others". The beach can get quite dirty depending on tidal drift as there is just so much shite dumped in the klongs which gets washed out to sea. But it's much cleaner than Pattaya or...
