Read moreI saw this place on the map, and, thanks to other people's pictures in their reviews, thought it looked like a very interesting place. As we drove there, however, nothing looked promising. After getting out of the car we were greeted by a friendly old man who showed us to the edge of the water. I couldn't tell how big the (what I thought was a pond) area was, but once we got in the kayaks and paddled out a ways, we were dumbfounded by the natural, peaceful beauty, and delighted by the large, extremely clean, watery ecosystem full of birds and other critters. The fee was only 100 baht for an hour for each of the kayaks, but the friendly people didn't charge us extra when we didn't come back on time. We were so engrossed in the beauty around us we were out exploring for nearly 2 hours. After coming back, we tried out the bikes for only 50 baht per bike. The trail was very lovely. It wasn't just a boring paved pathway-some parts were and other parts were dirt trails. We SO enjoyed the network of trails with informational signs about the plants around. Our favorite was the carnivorous plants trail, but they were all beautiful. The bridge was also epic. I cannot tell you enough how wonderful this experience was and how kind the staff were. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a peaceful adventure and not afraid of a little water, mud, and sore muscles. Additional info: There was an option to ride a motorboat instead of kayaking, but we didn't ask how much. There were drinks, snacks, hats and some shirts for sale as well. Toilets were...
