It's not worth going. The bamboo raft road is badly damaged and very unsafe. No one maintains this place. You can only walk two or three hundred meters before the road is blocked. There is a very large open space at the entrance, but a paid parking lot is set up on the only way 200 meters away. Three people stopped the car when they saw it and directed it to the paid parking lot. There is also a sign that does not allow vehicles to turn right to the entrance of the scenic area. Obviously, this is forced parking fee. But everything in the scenic area does not match the paid...

Location: not hard to find with GPS. The road is a bit narrow though. There are two parkings cost 20āļŋ each. Shuttle bikes cost 5 a person. There is no public transportation to there. Activities: only sightseeing. You may choose to walk on the wooden walkways (free) and/or boat (50 a person). Facilities: they have paid toilets and small dried food stalls and that's it. They don't have disability access or support of any kind. Water flasks are recommended if you are to visit. Final thoughts: this place is good on cool day and you pass nearby, not as much on hot...

Drive to the carpark (b20 parking). Motorbike with sidecar to the jetty ,a few 100 metres away, cost a few baht. Hire a boat with driver, b100 each. Slow cruise through the mangroves for about 35 mins. Saw several types of kingfisher, bats, crabs, etc. Cruise out towards the sea estuary and then return via different route. Boatman gives you the option of boat all the way back or walk the last 300m, walk it. Turn left first and walk a kilometre or more until you come out of the mangrove forest at the beach area. Walk back to the starting point....

Interesting place, huge mangroves forest with a pretty well built part linking the Gold Meadow to the Naval ship. This place can be really hot at noon so definitely be prepared for that. You can also pay to get on ferry boats which will take you out into the sea to see coastal defences and the mangrove forest from a distance; they will drop you off at one point of the path where you can walk to the meadow. As of March 2019 some of the path to the Naval ship is broken due to the recent tropical storm so you cannot walk there.
