This place is 100% a scam. Be aware there are so many boat companies dotted around and the one you turn up at is not the one you have to pay. I’m certain our driver took us to this one to rinse us off money. The company we used was Ian 1, this is the closest to the Thai spelling I can write. 3000 bhat pp for 1-2 hours on a small wooden boat. I’m certain our driver got a back handed as he only wanted us to eat at certain spots and take us to a suit making place. As someone who’s visited Thailand more times than I can remember, I angry with myself for not realising and they don’t give you your money back even if you’ve just handed it. £140 for this is a joke and people writing on here that it was a good deal deserves to be scammed. So please avoid at all cost as this should cost no more than €15 per person. The market itself is cool and fun but they have tigers, crocs etc all prices at an extra...
Read moreSame story as most. Taxi took us there where they were asking for 4000 baht each. We assumed we wouldn't pay anything to visit a floating market. We didn't have that much in cash but were stupid and intimidated so agreed. Then I realized how much this was in our own money. I said to the taxi driver I wanted to go home and he looked dismayed, we'd paid 2500 and I said I want my money back and to return to my hotel (an hour and a half away!). The woman then showed us part of the ticket that said no refund, she dropped the price to 4000 baht for 2 of us when I still wanted to go back to the hotel. Had to endure the trip which was mainly awkward as you stop at stalls to buy cheap looking tat. A bit sad because it's ruined the whole morning. Would...
Read moreWorth the experience of the boat ride along the canal and seeing all the sellers with their wares. Didn't buy anything as it looked like cheap made in china stuff. However, just experiencing the sights and smells as well as the boat traffic is a must if your in Bangkok. Its amazing how they weave they boats around each other. Any minute you think you might crash. Word of warning to those who will be doing this, keep you arms/hands in the boat. You also cruise down canals that pass by people homes which is very interesting. You see these sidewalks along the canal all the power lines running against it and you also see small shrines that almost every one has in front of their homes. They put food in them for their...
