Wat Khao Chedi — Attraction in Surat Thani Province

My favorite temple in Koh Samui. Breathtaking views of the souther coast a'd of the southern islands (Koh Tan, Koh Matsum, Koh Rap). Large collection of Buddhas of many types. Never busy since it is off beaten track. Parking available, but be very careful with the access road which is very steep and can be dangerous at times (if you do not turn large enough). You could find scorpions or snakes in that place. So... watch...

A truly special place away from the usual tourist crowds. From Wat Khao Chedi you get a fantastic view over the sea and the surrounding landscape – absolutely worth seeing! Since there are relatively few visitors, you can really take your time, enjoy the silence, and pause for a moment of reflection. We went during November and it was not busy at all. I think we were the only people in the temple at the time. There is a small walk up an inclined hill, but worth the small trek!
