Nestled in the middle of an evergreen flora and fauna is this beautiful pristine scenic breathtaking waterfall ‘Thi Lo Su’. It takes about 4 hours from Mae Sot in Tak province through the stunning steep curvy drive to the base county of Umphang. Be aware that there are over 1200 curve bends which people having motion sickness may struggle. So ensure fasten your seatbelts. Then take further an adventurous 3 hrs water raft an hour drive into the Thi Lo Su national park. Local pay 20 B and for foreigners charged 200Bht entry fee plus 30Bhtfor car parking. Or directly drive an hour from to the National park. However, the rafting experience is mesmerizing through the deep ravines and rapids. There are many private resorts who organize this adventure package. Thi Lo Su riverside resort gives a taste of Thai hospitality and eco-friendly retreat into this nature’s wonderful treat. A 1.5km trek from the national park reception area welcomes the magnificent milky waterfall. It’s worth to visit and makes your journey complete. This is a nature’s best gift to Thailand...

Thailand biggest waterfall and the 6th biggest in the world. Should only be visited during the dry season (winter) the roads can not be driven during the rainy season. Someone said they let the nature heal that is wrong they can not just accesses the area even with a 4 wheeler. We managed to get in with a Honda CRV and that is a 2 + wheel and we made it but if you have a normal car you can not make it even during the dry season. If you not have the right car take a river boat, however they do not guarantee it will flip over so bring a water proof bag. Many of the hotels will claim you can not drive there but you CAN they just trying to sell you a tour. Remember the way back is on the back of a pickup it takes about two hours in the sun so bring hats and the right clothing's the river way is ONE way. We tried to camp (only people there doing it) sadly the rangers working there were drunk so we did not feel secure so we camped at the office where the road starts. Its about 4 hours from Mea Sot and 2 hours...

I'm sure if you go during the season where there is a lot of river flow it is a 5 star destination for sure as it is by far the largest waterfall I have visited in Thailand out of dozens. The waterfall isn't truly huge, it's just big enough to be almost truly impressive.

I would really recommend only going if the rivers are full otherwise the journey of 4 hours in and 4 hours out is not worth it.

The drive there is amazing so if you're on a motorbike you can consider it a drive just for fun and stay a night and enjoy whatever the waterfall might be as an add on if you would like. The locals told me I cannot go with a bike and while the road is in mediocre condition there are only 2 or 3 parts where it is hard at all. I did not verify with the park rangers if they also ban bikes going in. This can save you a huge amount of money, a pickup to go there is 2,500 Baht for 2 slow, 30km, 40...

Thi Lo Su Waterfall in Thailand is a remarkable destination, though it requires a bit of travel effort to reach. The journey includes a scenic boat ride, adding an adventurous twist to the trip. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning landscapes and multiple smaller waterfalls, culminating in the grandeur of Thi Lo Su. This majestic waterfall is one of the largest and most impressive in Thailand, and the area often features a spectacular rainbow waterfall effect due to the sunlight hitting the mist. The combination of boat ride, diverse scenery, and the breathtaking falls makes the trip well worth the effort.
