I went to the bridge taking my scooter from the Udon Thani side. The road is difficult to find and quite rough, especially when going up the hill. I strongly suggest only doing the trip in the dry season. You can park at the base of the hill and walk without too much effort, but then it is about a 10km round trip hike.
Getting to the park entrance was also a bit of a challenge with poorly placed intermittent signs. You really need to use a GPS to get the turns right. Once in the park the signs to the Bridge are easy to find and well placed.
The park itself is very pleasant with a bit different sort of vegetation than typically seen around the agricultural areas. The stone bridge and the surrounding area pleasant to walk around in and interesting. Part of the charm is getting away from the normal hustle and bustle of typical Thai tourist attractions. I only saw one other person the entire time I was in the park.
