The entrance looks inviting . However when I saw the entry price for foreigners (400 thb vs 30 thb for locals) I decided to leave straight away. This is daylight robbery and extremely unfair bearing in mind the enormous sums in income tax i have paid to the Thai government during my 14 working years here. Thanks but no thanks. It is high time that this issue gets addressed as it leaves a very bad taste in the mouth with visiting tourists. A small difference might be acceptable but a factor of 13.3 higher is price gouging of the highest order. Edit 25 july 2025: looks like the frequent outcries about extortionate entry fees for foreigners at this site have had some effect: visited today and noticed entry fee for foreigners has been reduced from 400 to 200 thb . So the 'farang factor' reduced from 13.3 to 6.7. The fees are also written in normal numerals and not the Thai numerals in an embarassing effort to hide the fee differential for non Thai readers i.e. most foreigners.
Some progress...😀...but...
Read moreForeigners need to pay 1233% more than Thai !!! It's beyond frustrating to see such blatant greed in action! The fact that foreigners are expected to pay a staggering 1233% more than Thai nationals at this place is completely unacceptable. While dual pricing for foreigners sadly isn't uncommon in Thailand, this establishment takes it to a whole new level of unfairness. Forcing foreigners to shell out 400B, compared to the mere 30 baht charged to Thai visitors, is downright outrageous.
In protest, we decided to leave. We simply couldn't justify spending more money (for two people) than what we had paid for a nice hotel room the night before. It begs the question: are they actively trying to discourage foreigners from visiting the otherwise beautiful province of Uthai Thani? It's disheartening and leaves a sour taste...
Read moreThis is a beautiful and somewhat unseen destination that's definitely worth a stop if you're passing through the area. However, it might not be worth a dedicated trip from Bangkok on its own. The main highlight is the journey into a massive chamber formed by a collapsed mountain. The path takes you through a cave, and the walk isn't too long. It's a fun little adventure with some minor rock scrambling, a few stairs, and some slightly slippery ground, but it's manageable for kids and active seniors. At the entrance, you'll find a small market with food stalls, a local coffee shop, and a public restroom. It’s a great place to stop, stretch your legs, and enjoy a unique...
