Ton Sak Yai National Park — Attraction in Uttaradit Province

Ton Sak Yai is a pristine forest park in Uttaradit Province, best known for housing the largest teak tree in the world—over 1,500 years old with a trunk circumference exceeding 9.5 m. The park covers roughly 519 km² of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, featuring multiple waterfalls, caves, and a rich birdlife.

อุทยานแห่งชาติต้นสักใหญ่ (ต้นมเหสักข์) เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติที่ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่ จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ โดยเฉพาะในเขตอำเภอน้ำปาด นับเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติลำดับที่ 103 ของประเทศไทย เดิมมีชื่อว่า "อุทยานแห่งชาติคลองตรอน" แต่ได้มีการเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "อุทยานแห่งชาติต้นสักใหญ่" เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับจุดเด่นสำคัญของอุทยาน ซึ่งก็คือ "ต้นสักใหญ่" หรือ "ต้นมเหสักข์" ต้นมเหสักข์ หรือ ต้นสักใหญ่ เป็นต้นสักที่ได้รับการยอมรับว่าเป็น ต้นสักที่โตที่สุดในโลก ที่ยังคงยืนต้นอยู่ มีอายุประมาณไม่ต่ำกว่า 1,500 ปี มีความสูงประมาณ 47 เมตร และมีเส้นรอบวงของลำต้นประมาณ 9.85 เมตร (วัดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2525) หรือประมาณ 10.24 เมตร (วัดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2562) สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานนามว่า "มเหสักข์" ซึ่งหมายถึง เทวดาผู้ใหญ่ เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล อุทยานแห่งชาติต้นสักใหญ่ มีพื้นที่ป่าเบญจพรรณที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ มีธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม และมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอื่น ๆ ที่น่าสนใจ เช่น น้ำตกห้วยเนียม นอกจากนี้บริเวณรอบๆ ต้นสักใหญ่ยังมีการจัดสร้างทางเดินเป็นสะพานไม้ยกพื้นสูง เพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถเข้าชมและศึกษาธรรมชาติได้อย่างสะดวกสบาย และเพื่อป้องกันผลกระทบต่อรากของต้นไม้ การเดินทางมายังอุทยานแห่งชาติต้นสักใหญ่ สามารถทำได้จากทางหลวงสายพิษณุโลก-อุตรดิตถ์ หรือจากทางหลวงสายอุตรดิตถ์-เขื่อนสิริกิติ์-น้ำปาด แล้วแยกเข้าสู่ทางหลวงหมายเลข 1047...
