San Chao Kiew Tien Keng — Attraction in Wichit

By the seashore, in a large park, there is a bright and beautiful Chinese temple. The temple territory is not very large, but it is very interesting and pleasant to be here.

Near the main building there is a large gazebo with a high, white statue of the goddess of mercy - Guanyin. In the evening, the illumination turns on here and it becomes mesmerizingly beautiful. Next to the gazebo there is a large, golden bowl for exploding firecrackers - to drive away evil spirits. There is also a traditional bell for making wishes.

This place is recommended for visiting by everyone. Here you can take interesting and unusual photos, and after a walk through the park by the seashore you can visit several attractions of Phuket in one trip!

This stunning shrine located in a superb location at Saphan Hin Park, Kiew Tien Keng must be one of the most beautiful places of worship in Phuket. It's the only shrine that is located near the seashore and is considered the departure spot to send all gods/deities back to heaven on the final night of the Vegetarian Festival. One of quietest and pristine shrines on the island. In 2015 they brought a lot of stone statues from China. There are three worshiping chambers inside the temple. ศาลเจ้ากิ้วเที้ยนเก้ง ถูกสร้างขึ้นตามพระประสงค์ของ พระแม่กิ้วเที้ยนเฮี้ยนลื้อ เทพเจ้าชั้นผู้ใหญ่ฝ่ายศาสนาเต๋า ในสมัยพระจักรพรรดิเหลือง (ผ่านร่างประทับทรง) เพื่อที่จะสถิตย์ และใช้เมตตาบารมี ปัดป้องภัยธรรมชาติ ที่จะเข้ามาสู่จังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยเริ่มทำการก่อสร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2539 และสร้างแล้วเสร็จในปี พ.ศ. 2541 ในศาลเจ้าแห่งนี้ยังมี พระสยมติราชไตรภาคีโพธิสัตว์ปัดภัย (กวนอิมปราบภัย) ประทับอยู่ โดยเป็นพระมหาโพธิสัตว์กวนอิมหยกขาวทั้งองค์ ประกอบด้วย 3 ปาง คือ ปางเมตตา ปางปัญญา ปางสันติ ซึ่งเป็นองค์ที่สองจากประเทศจีน มีน้ำหนักรวม 17,000 กิโลกรัม มีความสูงรวมฐาน 5.2 เมตร ซึ่งองค์แรกนั้น มีพระนามว่า พระโพธิสัตว์รัตนประภาสยอวโลกิเตศวรกวนอิม (กวนอิมรัตนมงคลภาค) ประดิษฐาน ณ วัดยานนาวา เขตสาทร จังหวัดกรุงเทพมหานครฯ ส่วนองค์ที่สอง (กวนอิมปราบภัย) ประดิษฐาน ณ ศาลเจ้า กิ้วเทียงเก้ง จังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยมีนายอุทิศ ชัยลือกิจ คนไทยเชื้อสายจีน ได้นำหยกขาวจากประเทศพม่า มาแกะสลักโดยช่างกรมศิลปกรของประเทศจีน ซึ่งเป็นคณะบุคคลที่ถ่ายทอดการแกะสลักมาตั้งแต่ราชวงศ์ถัง ทางประเทศจีนได้เก็บช่างฝีมือเหล่านี้ไว้เพื่อทำงานให้กับทางราชการเท่านั้น แต่ในการแกะสลักพระมหาโพธิสัตว์กวนอิมหยกขาวในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการแกะสลักกรณีพิเศษ เพื่อมอบให้กับทางประเทศไทย ในปีมหามงคลเพื่อเทิดพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ครบ 7 รอบ...
