BETONG HOT SPRING THAILAND We visited the Betong Hot Spring which was part of the itineraries in our 3D2N Betong guided tour in November 2024.
Although it is smaller than our Sungai Klah Hot Spring in Sungkai Malaysia, nonetheless its recreational and health benefits continues to draw visitors of all ages from far and wide to its embrace.
Its grounds are pleasant and clean with neatly kept hedges peppered with flowering plants against a backdrop of rolling gentle hills and lush vegetations. There are changing and bathing facilities available for visitors' use.
The centre of attraction, of course, is the big circular pool filled with moderately heated water up to thigh height for visitors to soak their feet or whole in it.
Some believe that it has medicinal values that could heal minor skin problems but for those with high blood pressure, extra care should be observed as overindulgence could endanger their health. To ward off heat stroke, frequent cold showers are advised.

You can buy the eggs from nearby stall if you want to cook onsen egg yourself there. This is good experience, selection of the hotspring pond is very critical as there are a few there, some are not hot enough, we try cook the egg 20 minutes but still is half boiled only. In my personal opinion, it is not very hygienic and bad for health as the plastic bag need to soaked into the hot water and some of the plastic may melted inside the pond too.

Read moreThis hot spring is another tourist spots and many locals will also visit this place for soaking in the pool, there is a proper toilet for changing cloth and wash up. Very convenient. The hot spring used to be 'hot', however now geological changes the water is no longer hot but changed to become 'warm spring'. i dont recommend you buy the eggs to cook there as now it will take extremely long time to get the egg cooked. Not worth the time. There are also medical wine for sale along the stalls, can take a look. Some for men's health for prolong performance on bed as per described. Parking is free....
