🌟 Breathtaking Skywalk @ Aiyerweng - An Unforgettable Experience! 🌟

🚗 Getting There: Arrived by a narrow, winding road – the last 5km requires careful driving, but the journey adds to the adventure! Parking is FREE, and there are plenty of local food stalls near the parking lot to grab a quick drink & bite. 🍢🥤

🚠 Getting Up to the Sky Tower: From the parking lot, we took a Tuk-Tuk ride for just 30 Baht per person to reach the base of the tower. It’s a fun ride through the hills that gets you into the mood for what’s to come!

🎟️ Entry Fees: The tower entry fee is 40 Baht for Thai nationals and 200 Baht for tourists. Shoe covers are required for the glass walk, costing 30 Baht per person, keeping everything clean and shiny! 👟✨

🌅 The Skywalk Experience: The Skywalk at Aiyerweng is a modern marvel! Walking on glass panels with the panoramic views of endless hills, lush forests, and serene lakes is absolutely breathtaking. On clear days, you can even spot Bang Lang Dam and the beautiful valleys below. The glass platform makes you feel like you’re floating above the world – a must-try for thrill seekers! 🌄🌳

📜 History & Information: There’s also a historical corner with displays about the region’s rich past, along with interesting information about the local hills, lakes, and wildlife. It adds a layer of depth to the visit, combining adventure with education. 📖🦌

🛗 Facilities: The site has multiple platforms and an elevator, making it accessible for everyone. Everything is well-organized, with guides available to assist and ensure your experience is smooth. 🏗️👌

🎁 Souvenirs & More: Don’t miss the souvenir shop on your way out! You’ll find unique gifts to remember your visit. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help. 🛍️😊

🛻 Return Trip: Heading back to the parking lot, the tuk-tuk ride costs 20 Baht per person. It’s a perfect end to a day of stunning views and unforgettable memories. 🛺💨

🔥 Pro Tips: Visit in the morning or late afternoon for the best weather and views. 🌤️ Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat for sunny days. 🧢👟 Grab a snack or drink from the local stalls – they’re delicious and authentic! 🍹

🌟 Verdict: Skywalk @ Aiyerweng is a 5-star experience! 🌟 It combines adventure, nature, and culture in one stunning destination. Perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Highly...

Skywalk Aiyerweng, Betong

We visited the Aiyerweng Skywalk on our second day in Betong. We started our journey early at around 4:00 AM, taking a tuk-tuk from Grandview Landmark Hotel — the ride took roughly 40 to 45 minutes, passing through quiet villages and forest roads under the dark sky.

As far as I know, private cars and tuk-tuks used to be allowed all the way to the top, but not anymore. Now, any vehicle from Betong town must stop at a designated open area near the base. From there, you need to hire another tuk-tuk, motorcycle, or van to take you up to the summit. At the parking area, there are a few small warungs (some halal-friendly) and souvenir stalls.

Unfortunately, I forgot the exact tuk-tuk charges. I did feel a little regret not driving myself — would’ve been a nice experience driving in another country! 🤭

When we reached the top, the sky was cloudy and grey. Still, since we were already there, we walked up to the lower deck to wait for the sunrise. There’s also a glass-floor skywalk (entrance around 200 THB if I’m not mistaken), but we didn’t go on it — too afraid of heights 😅. So we just stayed on the concrete viewing area, enjoying the cool breeze and soft morning light even though the sun didn’t really show up. We spent about two hours there, chatting and even making new friends nearby.

Oh! There were some stray cats roaming around, but they looked healthy and well-fed — likely cared for by kind locals.

Before heading back, we stopped at the small café near the deck called Tai Mhok. Their dim sum was surprisingly better than the one we had the day before! We ordered coffee, tea, and cocoa — and their cakes were good too. A nice place to relax and wind down.

For the ride back down, I hopped on a motorcycle tuk-tuk — not really an adventurous person, but hey, I took the chance! 😅 (Okay fine, I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat. 🤭)

Overall, Aiyerweng Skywalk is a place I wouldn’t mind coming back to, especially for a proper sunrise view. And next time? I might just challenge myself to drive all...

Half asleep, we stumbled out of bed at the wee hour of the morning to begin our trek to witness in person the iconic and glorious phenomenon of carpet or sea of clouds atop a mountain of a mere 610 meter in elevation. We left our hotel at 4:30 am sharp in our air conditioned van with great expectancy when most of town was fast asleep. On our way up, we passed quite a few non air conditioned open sided vehicles ferrying fellow holidaymakers up at, I think, a lower fare. The journey to the foothill took about 45 minutes before we hopped onto waiting 4 wheel drive vehicles for the 15 minutes ride to the top which was about 28 km in all from Betong. Due to the steep gradient and for safety of all, only 4 wheel drive vehicles are allowed to ferry up passengers. By the time we reached the foothill, there were already many vans and people who preceded us. We had to wear protective coverings over our shoes to enter the complex and extruding glass bottom viewdeck at the 5th floor. The view was nothing short of breathtaking with sea of clouds stretching into the horizon and underneath verdant forests. As we were early, we were privileged to experience the pre dawn and post dawn sky. We stood, almost hypnotized, on the glass bottom viewdeck, taking in the panoramic view, admiring nature at its best, breathing pristine air or simply clicking wefie/selfie with a heart of thanksgiving and awe. I was told by one of tour mates that we can experience a similar phenomenon back home at Sungai Lembing...
