Do rent binoculars and do get a guide to take you round. Make sure you ask lots of questions, once our guide gave up on his set schpeel his passion for his work shone through.
The reserve includes one of the last patches of Gambian rainforest. Gambian rainforests are different because the water comes from the ground. Stepping into this section was like stepping into a shower it was so much cooler.
