This is one of the most fantastic freshwater swimming spots I've ever been to! Absolutely stunning. When we went the community had just tidied up and the caves were free of rubbish, thank you. I hope that the community keeps working hard to clean up the beach and keep the caves clear because it makes such a positive difference. We will be bringing all of our visitors here to see. Note, definitely see the caves on a weekday or Saturday, it is closed on Sunday and is definitely worth visiting when they have the lights on so you can safely swim and respect the...

These caves cost 20 pa' anga per adult to visit. The caves are amazing, so definitely worth the price! You enter by going down a little path, and then entering the cave mouth. Once you have ducked under the entrance, the cave opens up very wide, so it does not feel claustrophobic at all! Inside, the caves are quite humid, and there are pools that are warm enough to swim in. The caves are a wonder of stalagmites and stalagtites, and it is impressive everywhere you look. The caves themselves are well-lit with a clear path through. There is also a pleasant beach...

What a place! We were blessed to arrive with almost no one there, and within minutes, it was just us. 45 minutes if quiet in a place of magic! The water is crystal clear - like looking through glass. The water was the perfect temp for us (we're from NZ).

A we left a couple of big groups arrived and one brought their sound system with them. I'm glad we were leaving.

The beach just down from the caves is lovely too and would be great for swimming at high tide.

This was our second fave thing to do, second only to whale...

An entry fee is to pay at the carpark. If there is no one around, you need to give them a call. The way down to the cave is a short walk, which can be very slippery after a bit of rain. There is no handrail or a safety line. However, the cave is really stunning. A nice walkway into it, and there is light within the cave. The water is beautifully clear and nicely cold. There is also a nice beach with clear water a 2 minute walk away.

The cave is just a short walk down the stairs from the entrance. The interior of the cave is not big - you will probably need only 15 minutes or so to walk one round. The stalagmites and stalactities while not gigantic, were still beautiful and impressive. The highlight was definitely the freshwater pool. The water was clear and not cold, good for a swim. Terrific experience. There is a nice beach a short walk away from the cave
