It was a pleasing nature trek. One can definitely find without a hike group but safer in a group (group of friends even).
There's parking off of the main road before the Salman park where cyclers normally park (bigger groups) or if you drive further in as if you're heading towards the Aboretum. Should park on the outside of the barriers if staying late as they tend to close it. If it's an early park and you intend to leave early, drive in pass the Aboretum but I prefer walking.
The trek towards the gorges really starts after the you pass the Aboretum, first left then left again at signage. There's bamboo fallen over on the path (20022023). Duck under and you'd soon meet a river, either trek towards up river i.e. against the water flow or follow the path passing through the belly of the river. There are tags tied to trees along the way just fyi which were left by hike groups as a guide.
From there it's an approximate 40 minutes trek to the first tunnel-like gorge. The second gorge where the bigger pool and what others refer to as a waterfall is another 20 minutes. The pool's depth ranges between 5-7 feet. Seven feet being the deepest point at its furthest point on a sunny day. Try and use the ropes along the path to rappel or pull yourself up the water paths where applicable. Look out for in-picture-video illustrations. Do not go when rain is falling. The water run off is strong, heavy and fulls up the entire pathway
Enjoy the scenery and the satisfying nature trails. Soak up the pools. I, myself, absolutely loved the natural art tapestries carved...
Read moreDrive in (right) even though the sign says not to & park in the Aboretum (you'll save yourself a half hour walk). 1 hour 15 from park. 45 minutes from arboretum. Very slippery. Suggest beach shoes or very grippy trail shoes. It's a smaller pool than expected and about 4-7 feet deep depending where you stand
Directions: Follow trail till the road ends.(East of aboretum) at split in path, follow the trail north. Itll split again- continue north and follow the orange ties along the river. You don't need a tour guide. You'll get...
Read moreA very easy hike, difficulty rate 3/10. The gorge is very beautiful and relaxing and the water is so cold and refreshing. If you're adventurous, you can hike up the waterfall where you will meet other smaller pools of water and the rock formations make a great fun slide. There are ropes to use for assistance when climbing up the falls. It is recommended to climb the path the water is flowing as it's...
