Well boy! Is where to start and then to stop?! I'm back at 1 am from this night excursion to see leatherback turtles and it did not disappoint! A massive shout out to Josh Tiara and Kiara for providing an excellent and knowledgeable experience as we watched and learned about the life and reproductive habits of the giant leatherback turtles. It was a dark night, the stars were out in full strength, and the waves broke hard and fast on the coast. When we got to call at the Nature Seekers post, we sped walked to the site and saw a great big sea turtle laying eggs in a trance state! The experience was surreal, a lottery win for sure. Getting to the location was not easy so give yourself all the time you need. Be ready for walking in the sand.

Guys on the receptions are very kind and truly loves their job. Excellent work! Local guides on the beach are very good and know their job very well. Unfortunatelly they are speaking with "local" english and with wind on the beach is not good combination. It's difficult to understand with "Oxford English". There is no assurance you will see some turtle. We have waited almost 4 hours. Tourtle came and it was amazing! Edit. The road to the beach is not truly bad. Just few "medium hard problems" with Toyota Yaris. The road between Blanchisseuse and Arima was much more worse. 200 times more :)

Bravely defended by a group of young people, and we had Chelsea and Colin there as tour guides... I discovered even more information about leatherback than last time I visited. Now for the downside..the road from the main road was the worst one on this island ..and would be a huge discouragement to foreigners. It would be worthwhile to forewarn visitors that there may not be any sightings on any particular night. If this were to be promoted as a tourist site it would be good for a cafeteria to be there..coffee tea sandwiches an idea.. The road...the road.. the road..
