Buccoo Beach — Attraction in Tobago

We love this beach! a long stretch of sand perfect for early morning or late afternoon walks. Shallow calm water makes it a great choice for families with children and there is an area that runs along the back of the beach so you can park right there under the trees and take shade if you want to - so convenient.

Lifeguards were on duty when we visited and in the holidays you can often find Dannys inflatable water park set up off the beach - the children love this! Late afternoon we saw horses and riders enjoy the beach and water, we now know this was Healing With Horses, where you can organise a horse riding session. Amazing beach and was never crowded...

Wonderful beach. Keep in mind that the water is rougher at certain times of the year but is very calm from July-August. Shockingly clean and the sand is not very gritty. If you are coming with a car, drive through the carpark and along the road at the back of the trees. You can park behind the trees and go on the beach but be careful of the manchineel trees (marked with a red stripe on the trunk). I love the turquoise and green of the sea and the white sand with a beautiful backdrop of greenery . If you want a long walk on pristine sand then this will be a great place for you to explore. Safe bathing if you keep close to the shore although strong swimmers go out quite far. Great views of the reef and you can watch boats going out to the Nylon pool.
