Citrus Golf Tunisia

What a beautiful course, with 2 18 hole courses it would be a shame not to go back and play here again. We played on the Forest course, hired golf clubs and a buggy and we were not disappointed in the slightest, well maybe my score could have been better but I would change anything about the Citrus Golf Club.

Myself and my partner booked the course a few weeks before our holiday. The emails were answered swiftly and as this was our first golfing trip whilst abroad we decided we would just hire everything and see what it was like.

The day we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly chap and he took us to reception. The lady there was very helpful, made sure we had everything that we asked for and the pro shop sorted us out with balls, tee’s and gloves as we both forgot our gloves, bonus is we have a new one for the summer.

Pricing was a little higher than we would have liked but with everything included we paid and were sent downstairs to the caddy who sorted us with golf clubs and a very nice new buggy and off we went.

Playing blind had its disadvantages to our game but that didn’t matter we loved the course and soon settled in to it. The driver I was given didn’t have as much flex in it as mine so I did find my drives were going as far as I wanted. My partner seemed to get a lot of height with his, he just wasn’t a fan of the putter. I got the only par of the day on hole 14 which I was very proud of myself, my partner not so much as he was very close on a lot of holes and he even managed a putt from 20ft.

The bunkers seemed to like our balls and I was very grateful to the ladies tee on the eighteenth as I didn’t have to clear the water hazard, although my partner cleared that, the fairway and the trees caught his ball, which was nice of them.

At the end we handed clubs and buggy back and headed to the bar. We both got a sneak peak at the changing rooms and they were clean, big and the staff in them were very helpful especially when I got lost in there trying to find the loo. We enjoyed some nice beers in the sun and the staff were very helpful. Wish we had stayed longer to try the restaurant but that’s for next time.

Favourite part was the buggy, with the temperature being in the 20’s it was a great decision and I still got in over 10,000 steps.

Least favourite part has to be the guy trying to sell us balls round the course and we don’t think he was employed by the golf club as there was an employee who was driving round with snacks and drinks and he asked if we needed balls which we didn’t but was very appreciative of his cans of coke and crisps.

Would we go back? Yes maybe even try the harder course next time and I also believe there is a course next door called the Yasmine. If we did go back and decide to play for more than one day then I would look at taking our own clubs.

Beautiful course, great location, stunning grounds, wish I was golfing...

Overpriced! I've not played much golf abroad but at £305 for the 2 of us to play is a joke, yes we hired clubs, a buggy and bought some balls etc. Back at home the same deal comes to around £150 and the courses are in far better condition! Greens soft and Knappy. Tee boxes had the same grass as the grass around the sun lounges back at our hotel, infact the sun lounge grass is prob better to play off! Bunkers were impressive but were surrounded by cabbage that you could lose your ball in! Lay out of the course is excellent great design but needs more TLC and is not worth the money unless you're completly loaded and have money to throw away which I guess looking at some folk in the clubhouse afterwards they clearly do! 305 quid you can play some of the top courses in the UK been well and...

generally good golf place and club house food & service are quite nice. the maintanance is so so.

however the reception staffs are not so much kind all the time and one guy seems to be a racist to Asian guests. I'm korean and he said "do you close your eyes when you sleep?" as a joke. it's not a joke, it's racism comments and also harsh one which I haven't heard in my 15 years on abroad. already a couple of time he asked or mentioned not polite things, but this time I cannot bear it anymore.

I gave a notice but the management must be aware of your staffs behaviour since there are many guests with different nationalities.

Asian guests should be watch out to do not face...

Really good golf course and staff very helpful, carts and clubs available for hire. Some tricky holes so make sure to bring extra golf balls to account for strays!!!🤣🤣🤣
