Altınoluk Sahil — Attraction in Balıkesir

Couldn’t expect to accidentally reveal such a wonderful neighborhood close to the sea! 💛

All houses around are very pretty and kept by locals with care and love. The people there dine at their open balconies/terraces, don’t close their apartments behind the fence or a curtain and seem to be very open to their neighbors. This place is a European oasis of slow and beautiful life 🙌🏻

The most impressive thing for me is that there are houses one meter away from the sea but still visitors come to this small part of the beach and locals don’t really mind that someone sunbathes next to their property. They greet people, happily smile and because of that in return we were so glad even to share some watermelon with one of the house...

I really adore the sea here. Not the tourism, the cafes, the bars or anything else as attraction keeps me here as the sea. And the view to the green hills from the sea. The fresh air, the fresh water and the sunset. It is not without any reason that some of the Greek Gods used to live exactly here. Aphrodite had here her beauty bath. The judgement of Paris took place here. You all know the famous beauty contest between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. That's what they say and I tell you...

Benim sahilinden faydalandığım yer vali konağının bulunduğu daha çok yazlık mekanların bulunduğu çarşıdan biraz uzak yer. Bir kaç senedir deniz içeriye doğru girdiğinden sahil oldukça küçüldü. Kimi zaman öğlenden sonra birden çıkan dalga ile sahil kalmayıp bütün şezlong ve havluları ıslatabiliyor. Sabah saatlerinde deniz genelde sakin. Cam gibi berrak denizinde kenardaki küçük balıkların ayaklarınızın altından geçtiğini görebilirsiniz. Birden derinleşiyor. Bu yüzden yüzme bilmeyenler veya az bilenler dikkatli olsunlar. Cundanın denizi kadar olmasa da deniz suyu soğuk. Ancak 10.30 11.00 gibi akıntıyla yağlı bir tabaka ardından yoğun bir pislik denize girmenizi engelliyor. Şanslıysanız dalga çıkıp pislikleri götürüyor. Yoksa uzun süre akıntının götürmesini beklersiniz. Sahil küçük olduğu için kıyı boyunca boş yer bulmak bazen imkansız. iğne atsanız şemsiye veya insan kalabalıklığından yere düşmez. Sahili taşlık. Deniz ayakkabısı öneriyorum. Sahilin bazı yerlerinde cafeler veya beachlerde var. Her daim simitçi, kahçe çay,mısır satanlar olduğundan acıktığınızda kurtarıcınız.
