Wonderful museum, fascinating to see all the tools and gadgets from the early days of Batman. I don't speak a word of Turkish but I still understood most of it easily thanks to the well-designed exhibitions.
In those days, the batarangs were made of hewn stone or roughly hammered bronze and had not yet acquired their distinctive bat-shaped design.
I was impressed by the scale model of Gotham (literally "home of goats"), just a small village at the time. Wayne Manor can be distinguished by the large number of livestock.
There is a great action-packed diorama of Batman preparing to capture Two-Face (just One-Face back then) with a handwoven net. Meanwhile, Catwoman slyly takes advantage of the chaos to nab some tasty fish. Matt Reeves should take notes!
Another display shows Batman exploring the Batcave for the very first time, examining the rough stone walls and envisioning its potential. Though it was already a cave, I was surprised to learn that it actually looked even more cave-like in that era. I'm not ashamed to say this exhibit brought a tear to my eye.
Because the spotlight had not been invented yet, Batman was summoned by fashioning a clay bowl or pot, leaving it outside the police station, and hoping it would not be trampled underfoot by a stray goat or ox before getting the caped crusader's attention. As this is more cumbersome than flipping a light switch, it also helped encourage people to resolve problems on their own when possible.
My only complaint? Robin is nowhere to be seen; perhaps he wasn't born yet?
