Nice park right by the water. Super easy to get to, bus straight from Alsancak station.

View is not so great, nor is the water. Lots of oil and trash in the water, smelly too. Good thing it's perpetually windy there. Lots of commercial ships waiting to load. A bit ugly. Grounds are dirty. but the city tried hard to make it nice. The grass is nice, and the path is smooth and easy to walk. Cafe nearby and astonishingly bright and clean public WC (5TL izmirkart). Next to a major highway, there is lots of traffic noise. Huge child play area with lots of families having picnics.

There is access for swimming, but yikes one would need courage to go in with all that oil and garbage. Lots of places to sit, most with shade.

Bayraklı Sahil cafe de oturup bir şeyler yemek içmek için uğradık. Önce ellerimizi yıkamak istedik ama lavabolarinin arızalı olduğu için kullanamayacağımızı, ihtiyaç için sahildeki umumî WC lerden istifade edebileceğimizi söylediler. Dışarıda çok güzel yapılmış ücretli WC lerin de kimisinin arızalı kimisinin kilitli ve özellikle engelli WC sinin de kapısının kırık ve içerisinin rezil hale gelmiş olduğunu görüp hem sahilden sorumlu Bayraklı Belediyesi'ni, hem de oldukça büyük bir cafe işletmesinin o kadar müşteriye hizmet verdiği halde acilen lavabolarini faal etmek yerine müşterisini civardaki WC lere yönlendiren Bayraklı Sahil Cafe ye hiç yakıştıramadım. Çok büyük ayıp. Çevre düzenlemesi parkları ile güzel bir sahil alanında WC problemi yaşanması, o kadar masraf edilerek yapılmış ücretli WC lerin de civarda sözde Park sorumluların da olduğu halde korunmamasi, arızaların giderilmemesi gerçekten inanılır gibi değil. Bunları görünce Sahil Cafe de oturmaktan vaz geçip evimize döndük. Birşeyler yemeden önce ellerimizi bile yıkayacak müşteri WC si arızalı olduğu halde personel lavabosunu kullanmak yasak diyerek dışarda bir yerlere yönlendiren Cafe çalışanı hanımefendiye de cafe sahibine de...
