my review of aqua dolphin in 2024
i came here last summer and it was very fun, i came here today and i can say the quality has not changed much, but it is still not great
First thing you do when you enter is pay, they will probably ask for you Kimlik, sometime they won’t, afterward you and your bags will be searched like you are a terrorist, they do not tolerate outside food or drink, not even water.
then you must put down a 50 TL deposit to get your key for the lockers, if you are going to get food or buy anything, you cannot pay by card or cash rather you have to put down another 50 TL and get a wristband with a chip in it, and you can put how ever much money in it at one of the cash points. if you return both the key and wristband safe you get your deposit back.
there are a few places to get food and drink, most obvious one was a burger place, 180-220 TL for one burger with fries and Pepsi / Fanta, for us the bun was stale, fries sucked, but overall a below average but fulfilling meal.
if you want to come you must come the moment they open for the most out of your visit, anything before 11 AM is good, although the website says they close at 7 , most facilities including slides and the pirate cove for the kids start to close at around 5-6 , so get the most out of those before choosing to swim in a pool.
speaking of pools, it’s time to get to my next point which is pools, there are around 5 pools, one of them is for kids and is 50 cm deep, one is for families only and is 12-180 cm deep, and one is small for the people wearing those donut shaped things for floating, all pools are generally clean but all the water in the park is cold, it is not that bad considering the sun is killing you already so it is nice to cool down.
if you are a hijabi, your modest swim suit must be worn at all times, most slides will make your hijab fall off, so make sure it is set nicely and always be aware that it’s on your head.
if you have kids unfortunately it is difficult for you and them to have fun, if your kid is too young to enter the main slides and have to play in the children’s pirate cove, you cannot go on the kids slides and must watch them play while you cannot, if you want you can stand and wait under the huge water bucket, but that’s about it.
if you are coming with your wife and kids you can take turns watching the children,
the main slides are all very fun, if you are coming with somebody you must try the cobra one, but it unfortunately allows 2 people only and you need a pool floatie that fits two people.
if you want to get a pool floatie for yourself only, you can wait at the ends of rides that require it and ask a person who just ended a ride if they want to hand it to you, one again i strongly advise you play on the slides as one of the first things you do.
the water is naturally a bit dirty but it’s not to the point where it’s unbearable, the water is clear and has a chlorine taste, you may find a fallen leaf or two in the water.
some places really need to be cleaned, the bathrooms are dirty and smell, some facilities and also dirty.
if you are a foreigner unfortunately the staff do not speak much english, learn a few sentences at home before coming to avoid misunderstandings.
the staff are unfortunately a bit rude.
if you are or have children at around 12 or 14. depending on their size they may be able to enjoy both the slides and the children’s pirate cove, but warn them about the slides at the pirate cove and tell them to push them selves when they are on the because it is very easy to get stuck.
here are few tips 1: bring slippers.
2: bring shampoo and body wash, even if you plan to shower at home, your hair will be in a horrible state after you swim in the water for a while, which brings me to my next point.
3: try to bring a cap and you must bring googles, the cap protects your hair from the chlorine water, and all of the slides splash water in your eyes
4: do every/most slides at first then do other activities.
that’s all, enjoy! like this review to let me know you learned...

I visited Aqua Club Dolphin in Istanbul with my family, expecting a fun day after paying full price for all services. What we got instead was a complete disaster and a huge disappointment.
When we arrived in the morning, only a small kids’ pool was open. Every time I asked the staff when other facilities would open, they lied: “one more hour,” “30 minutes more,” and so on — none of which were true. Eventually, only TWO slides were operating the entire day.
Most of the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional, treating us like we were the problem. The only person who showed any decency was a staff member named Ahmet, who spoke English and tried to help, but he had no power to change anything.
I asked to speak with the manager, hoping for an apology or at least some acknowledgment. Instead, the manager behaved rudely, dismissively, and disrespectfully. He said, “We’ve opened more slides now, you can go back and use them.” No apology. No compensation. He didn’t even try to calm me down — he just walked away.
On top of that, the changing rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. No hygiene, no order, no care.
This place is a complete scam. They took our money, gave us nothing in return, ruined our day, and treated us like garbage.
Do NOT go here. They don’t care about your experience. They don’t care about your family. They don’t care about customer service. They only care about taking your money and running a low-quality, broken facility with horrible staff and management.
Avoid Aqua Club Dolphin at all costs.
Thank you for your response, but it clearly highlights the poor management and lack of accountability at Aqua Club Dolphin. If certain slides were closed for safety or maintenance, why was this not announced at the entrance or during ticket purchase? We were charged the full price for services that were mostly unavailable. Your staff repeatedly told us to “wait one more hour” or “just 30 more minutes” — none of which was true. That is deliberate misinformation, not a communication error. Your manager’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional. When I calmly requested a partial refund, he gave no apology, no explanation — just told us that more slides were now open and walked away. This is disrespectful and unacceptable. The changing rooms were not clean — they were visibly dirty, with no staff checking or maintaining them throughout the day. Your reply ignores the key issue: You continued operating and accepting money knowing full well that your facilities were not functioning properly.
The only positive part of the experience was Ahmet, the one staff member who treated us with respect. I appreciate that you acknowledged him.
But this generic response does not fix what happened. You did not offer any real apology, explanation, or compensation. I will not be returning, and I will make sure others are informed of what they might actually face...
