Günlüklü Koyu — Attraction in Fethiye

Car park entrance has now gone up to 70TL even if you are only being dropped off inside the gate or to the beach. The public beach is great for families and picnics. The private side of the beach is exactly the same, but obviously you pay for everything two fold. We have been there as recent as 2 weeks ago. The staff are great, a young lad helped me from the car with my twins prams.

The beach and walk ways are no good for prams at all. I tried to take one of my twins a walk through the forest to get her to sleep as the car park and way in and out of the car park was full of cars trying to get in and out of Günlüklü and was told by the cocoon beach staff that was helping guide cars in and out of the car park that it is forbidden to go into the forest now. So you can imagine how my 1.5 year old was having a melt down as she couldn't sleep. I have been using Günlüklü beach and what was then blue bay beach club, for 12 years, I have to say been able to use the forest and having a lot of shaded parts on both beaches previously was much better. Also, the toilets and showers are soo far away from the beach and sea itself. With 3 babies the age of 1.5 years old, having the toilet facilities and the changing rooms and toilets so far away is very inconvenient. Especially not having a shower to wash the salt water off the babies straight away.

My bill was 2,670TL. Which included the double bed with shade. Double bed with shade was 1,200TL. 1 turkish coffee, 1 orange juice, 1 margarita pizza (medium in size) one chicken pieces menu, 1 portion of chips 4 cola zero and 1 water. We stayed there for 2 hours, we left earlier than we normally would do as the toilets and facilities were to far away since the renovations and trying to enter and exit the car park can sometimes take up to 1 hr, when it is so busy. The day we went was busy, so I didn't want to sit in the car for an hr trying to leave the car park. All in all we had a good day, again I must stress how great the staff are at cocoon beach, especially the young lads near the car park welcoming you to cocoon beach and the restaurant staff. SAKIN ALANA MASA VE ÖRTÜ ALAMIYORUZ DİYEN GOREVLİLERE İTİBAR ETMEYİNİZ!!! Bugün yaşadığım sorunlu bir olayı sizinle paylaşmak istiyorum. Bugün 2 aile Fethiye Günlüklü koyuna gittik. Otomobiller için belirlenmiş 70 TL ücreti ödedik . Bu koyun olduğu alan bildiğim kadarıyla işleten firmaya 49 yıllığına kiralanmış. Yıllardır buraya geliriz. İki tarafı Günlük (Sığla) ağaçlarının olduğu bir yoldan ilerleyip otopark alanına ulaşıyorsunuz. Her zamanki gibi aracımızı park ettikten sonra kamp sandalyelerimiz ve portatif masamızı sırtlayıp ağaç altı bir yer bulup altına kurulalım düşüncesiyle otoparkla plaja doğru olan ağaçlıklı alana yöneldik. İki bölümü ayıran ahşap köprüye gelmiştik ki bir görevli bizi durdurdu. Masa ve kilim gibi eşyalarla alana giremeyeceğimizi bildirdi. Tabi hemen daha 3 gün önce de geldiğimizi ve böyle bir sorunla karşılaşmadığımızı söyleyerek sebebini sorduk. Kapıdaki "yetkili" bize "2 gün evvel orman bakanlığı yetkililerinin geldiğini ve kendilerini sert şekilde uyararak bu talimatı verdiklerini" söyledi. Biz de hangi kanun yada kararnameye dayanarak bunu yaptıklarını sorduk. Üsteleyince başka "biraz daha yetkili" bir arkadaş geldi ve olaya müdahil oldu. Ona da gerekçeyi sorduk. Bize "Türkler burayı çok kirletiyor. Ormanın yapısı bozuluyor" diye akla ziyan bir açıklama yaptı. Ben de sinirlerime hakim olamadım ve "bu abuk sabuk açıklama hangi hadsize ait? hangi şerefsiz bu ülke insanını beğenmiyorsa o s... gitsin" dedim. (Nahoş ifade için sizlerden özür dilerim) Akabinde önce orman bakanlığı Fethiye müdürlüğünü aradım. Olaydan haberleri olmadığını ve o bölgenin Milli Parklara bağlı olduğunu söylediler. Ben de Millî Parklar müdürlüğüne bağlandım. Onlar da böyle bir talimatlarının asla olmadığını keyfi bir uygulama olduğunu ve cimere yazmamı salık verdiler. Ben yetinmedim Jandarmayı arayıp durumu anlatıp bu keyfi tutum dolayısıyla tutanak tutulmasını istediğimi belirttim. Tam o esnada 4-5 yetkili başıma toplandı. Sanırım Milli Parklar müdürlüğünden birileri arayınca hemen tutuşmuşlar ve bana ulaşmaya çalışmışlar. "Konunun kendi inisiyatifleri dışında gerçekleştiğini emir kulu olduklarını" söylediler. "Madem Milli Parklar müdürlüğü şimdi böyle diyor biz de sizin masanızı o alana almanıza müsade edelim" dediler. Ben de " mesele ben değilim herkesin böyle bir hakkı var ve siz gasp etmeye çalışıyorsunuz. Bu anayasal hakkı bir lütuf gibi sunmanız pek hakkaniyetli değil ve her Türk vatandaşı buraya kilimi, sandalyesi ve masasiyla girebilir" diye özellikle belirttim. Masamı alıp alana geçtim ve birkaç kişiyi daha konu hakkında bilgilendirdim. Sevgili dostlar "tatildeyiz tadımız bozulmasın" "bu adamlarla ugraşılmaz" "aman başımıza bişey gelmesin" derseniz yarın denize girmenize de engel olurlar. Naçizane tavsiyem haklarınızı toplumun yararına olacak şekilde savunmanız olacaktır. Lütfen "bu ülkenin enayisi ben miyim?"...

Sandy beach inside a forest (Küçük kargi nature park).

There are 3 options if you’d like to sunbathe there:

1. There is a public beach on the left. You could either rent sunshades and beds for 150TL for two or you could just bring your own stuff and lay down under the trees.

2. There is a bigger facility in the middle. There you could choose from a wide range of sunshades and beds for 300 to 750TL. There is also a small cafeteria behind.

3. You should be staying at bay beach hotel as the right hand side of the beach belongs to the hotel.

As it is a fully sand beach don’t expect turquoise waters. It’s better to go there early in the morning if you want to have a nice free spot in the shade and before it gets crowded. This is what we did ✌🏼✌🏼

Entrance fee is 39TL (parking included). Open till 8 pm.
