Take the road out of Ölüdeniz heading towards Faralya and before you reach Liberty's hotel you will find Kidrak Beach. We was weary and slightly bored of Ölüdeniz beach. The height of the season can bring large amounts of bodies to the area and with only one road in and out, this artery flows only one way at key points. The traffic clogging and choking up the mountain road all the way back to Hisarönu when the Bayrami holidays appear. Seriously depressing sight. So we tried this beach and what a delightful blessing. Don't get me wrong, it's not golden sands where you have to squint to detect another living soul or excludes those precious little ones that scream mercilessly for ice cream or for simple attention that's not given. No. It's not that good folks. So I'll give you what it does have and we'll take it from there. Car park. Ok so you have to pay but get there with sensible timing and you'll get a spot and if your early enough a shaded one too. Amenities. There's changing rooms, toilets and showers all clean and generally in good health. Restaurants. One. This lonely out-post is well run but basic. You get the burger chips and pizza servings along with a reasonable salad type menu and of course beers and other life saving liquids. The good news is the price is an acceptable drain considering how remote you are from the town and the settings are set in greenery and woods. Which are tranquil and cool. Again a refreshing change from the concrete strip of Olüdeniz. Beach. So it's no different really from the usual pebble-stone come washed sand, but again get yourself parked up and you'll find a spot that won't give you DIY acupuncture. Finally the beds, again reasonable price but man do they need an complete overhaul. Mostly dilapidated and some should have be consigned to a skip ten years ago. You'll struggle to find a decent pair in 20. For that reason they lose a star. Ps. They do weddings here, says it...
Read moreFirst things first, you pay 30tl to enter by car. Then, two sunbeds and an umbrella cost 75 tl. While they were in decent condition, at that rate, I'd expect we wouldn't have to set up the umbrella ourselves. Considering COVID measures, the bar and restaurant are self-service, so I can't say much about the staff and how attentive they are. They were certainly nice and polite, however, and very patient when we had problems to make our card payment. When it comes to food, we had two basic but tasty sandwiches, which were ready fast, but it's worth to mention that the beach was nearly empty at the time. Price-wise, our food, including a beer and a water came to 90tl. The beach is clean and sandy in the sunloungers' area, but transitions into pebblestone near the sea. The sea floor is rocky, as the case is with most beaches in this area. While the stones are big and don't really hurt your feet, they do slide so you might want to be careful there. The water was painfully cold. Though some locals said this hasn't happened before, it's a fair warning. It also gets deep very fast. There's a nice picnic-like area just around the bar, and those who don't want to pay for sunbeds can just head to the north side of the beach which is free to access with your own beach equipment, but I'm not sure one could access facilities like shower and toilet in that case. Speaking of which, both were clean and in good condition. There's also surprisingly decent wifi, and great photo opportunities. Overall, it's well worth a visit. The view to the crystal clear open sea is just stunning, and the sound of the swishing waves not overcome by some beach bar music in...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful beach with unbelievably unprofessional staff. One of the managers was not only unprofessional, but also just rude.
I’ve visited more than 25 countries and have never faced such an awful service.
We visited the beach several days in a row and have never got any receipts for buying the sunbeds, we also haven’t seen any price lists, that’s why we decided to ask politely if we can check the whole price list.
They said „one sunbed - 35 TL“, we asked them to show us the price List, so we could make sure this is the price. 1st man didn’t speak English at all (he knew only „35 TL - one sunbed“), 2nd man spoke a little bit English, but he didn’t know what to answer and he asked his manager to talk to us.
So, the manager, wearing a super mean face, came up with our money and asked us to go away from here if we don’t trust him 😅🤦🏼♀️
We said we wouldn’t go anywhere (we‘ve already paid), then after a small fight he went back to his place.
Meanwhile, in a couple of minutes my boyfriend sat down on the grass next to my sunbed, the manager immediately came and said we couldn’t SIT ON THE GRASS 😆
Well, to be clear, some people laid down on the same grass with their own towels and it was fine🙃
Food in their restaurant is like in a very low budget bistro or school canteen. However, the prices are the same like in normal Cafés in Oludeniz.
Prices: 1 sunbed - 35 TL entrance - 10 TL (1 person) entrance on car - 30 TL
Anyway, the place is very beautiful and worth visiting. Just take your own food and umbrellas if you have. I wouldn’t like to pay for such an...
