Ballıca Natural Park — Attraction in Kızılcahamam

Ballıca Cave (Turkish: Ballıca Mağarası), is a small cave situated at 6 km (3.7 mi) southeast of Pazar, Tokat Province, Turkey. The cave is 600 m (2,000 ft) southeast of the village Ballıca.

Ballıca Cave is a fossil cave. Its overall length is 68 m (223 ft). The upper sections are composed of Permian–Triassic marble and lime. There are two layers above the entrance and five layers below, making a total of seven layers. Five layers were formed over three periods. One section stretches northeast and southwest, consisting of two layers. The second section, containing layers #3 and 34 were formed during the Second Evolutionary Period, and the 5th layer was formed in the 20th century. The gallery, which leads to some open space with a pond, is the first section in the northeast-southwest direction. It consists of the Stalactite and Stalagmite Hall on the first level, and the Fossil Hall and the Bat Hall on the second level. The Magnificent Gallery on the third floor is formed by the three adjoining halls: the Mushroom, Column, and the New Hall. Dwarf bat colonies live in different parts of the cave, and can be heard and smelled, but not often seen. The many colours in the cave are astonishing, and the filtered air is rich in oxygen.

About 45–50 m (148–164 ft) from the entrance, there is a wide saloon. The New Hall contains the remains (plastered walls, plastered material depot etc.) of use at sometime in history. There are numerous stalactites, stalagmites, pillars and water ponds...

It is 7 kilometers south of Pazar District Center and approximately 1 kilometer southeast of Ballıca Village. Ballıca Cave, whose age is determined as 3.4 million years, has a special position among its counterparts in the world.

The entrance to the cave on the slope of a high, semi-rocky hill is provided through a partially smoothed bedrock block. Ballıca Cave, which was opened to visitors in 1996 with lighting, walking paths and viewing terraces, has a surface area of ​​10 thousand square meters. The most important characteristic feature of the cave, whose visible part is 94 meters high, is that it has "onion stalactite" formations. 200 den fazla fotoğraf çektim demek ki görülmeye değer çok şeyi var. Koah hastaları için şifalı olduğu yazıyor. Emeği geçenlere çok teşekkür ederim. Dün oradaydım insanın çıkası gelmiyor. Hediyelik ve hatıra eşyalar birbirinden güzel tesbihler ve özellikle de turkuaz taşı çok hoşuma gitti. Yorumlarda herkes kalacak yer yokluğundan şikayet etmiş ancak emin olun kalacak yer yapılsa parasal açıdan kurtaracağını sanmıyorum. Tokat merkeze yarım saat civarı ve orada kalınacak çok alternatif var ama tabii ki oraya kalınacak bir yer yapılsa muhteşem olur. Otoparkın ücretsiz olması ayrıca hoşuma gitti. Ulaşım olarak ben çamlıbelden oraya geçtim km olarak yarı yarıya ama artovadan sonra köy yoluna dönüyor takır tukur seslerinden hoşlanmayanlar için uygun değil ancak tam bana göre idi. Yıldırım pideden arkadaşlar iyi ki o yolu tarif etmişler. Güzergah olarak Tokat merkezden ya da Sivastan seçilebilir. Çamlıbel'de de görülecek pek çok yer var hem de yol üzerinde yıldırım pide de özellikle yöresel lezzetleri tatmanızı tavsiye ederim bakır bardaklarda ayranın tadı tarif edilemez. Tekrar ballıca mağarasına gelecek olursak 3,4 milyon yıllık olduğu bilgisine ulaştım. Muhteşem ötesi asla oluşumlara dokunmayın yüksek sesle konuşmayın flaşlı çekim yapmayın. Şahsi fikrimdir tabi bu işin uzmanı değilim ama beton merdivenler yapılmasa daha mı iyi olurdu diye düşündüm doğrusu. Tokat'a yolu düşen herkesin mutlaka görmesi gereken bir yer. Bilet fiyatları bence gayet uygun. Girişte öğrenci kartı ile öğrenci indirimi oluyor ancak 18 yaşın altındakilere zaten yarı fiyat. Tam bilet 60 TL öğrenci-18 yaş altı 30 TL. Yol üzerindeki köylere ve köylülerin bağ bağçeden gelirleri çok iyi olmalı ki hiç satıcıya rastlamadım. İçeride çok acele etmeyin serinliğin ve bu muhteşem güzelliğin keyfini çıkarın....
