Mersin Yüzüncü Yıl Tabiat Parkı — Attraction in Mezitli

This place is beautiful and deserves a 5 star rating for its natural beauty. It used to be my favorite beach in Mersin. But sadly, it is not clean... People come here for picnics and when they leave, they leave all their trash on the beach... I've seen picnic tables left as if they were restaurant tables waiting to be cleaned... empty beer bottles, half empty soda bottles, disposable plates with remaining food, styrofoam cups, etc., left on the picnic tables by people who apparently had enjoyed a meal there and then simply walked away.... On the sand, you'll see food wrappers, water bottles (plastic and glass), pieces of plastic toys, rolled dirty diapers, etc. There are so many large garbage bins installed on the path, but most of them stay almost empty because only a few people are willing to carry their trash to the bin. I've seen municipality (or government) employees cleaning, but it's too much for two employees working 5 days a week. I used to walk there everyday and clean up as much of the plastic waste as possible and saw some people doing the same thing, but after a year I gave up.... There has to be fines, otherwise people will not change their behavior. This is a problem in many beaches and parks in Türkiye... People should be fined for littering public spaces... Otherwise each municipality will need to employ thousands just for cleaning the parks...

Beautiful place. If you living in Mersin, it is easy to reach. Unfortunately, I never seen before like this dirty park!!!! I don't understand what for we paid 180 TL ?? I think it is salary workers who cleaning the park and beach. But they doing nothing!!! It is better if put there CCTV and fining the people who living the rubbish! Deniz ve yeşilin çok güzel birleştiği mükemmel güzel bir mesire alanı olabilecek iken,etrafin pisliği, özellikle wc lerin hali perişan halde,wc lerin ilkinde erkekler tuvaleti kilitli,diğer wc mecburen ortak kullanımda felaket pis,su akmıyor, ikincisinde ise lavabo tıkalı idi.giriste ücret alınan bir park,dolasiyla alınan giriş ücretinin çok küçük bir miktarı bu wc lerin tamir ve tadilatı ile etraftaki çöplerin toplanmasına hayli hayli yetebilir.Biraz belediyenin el atması biraz da parka gelen insanların çöp atmayarak ve wc leri özenli kullanmasıyla mükemmel bir park alanı haline Kolaylıkla gelebilir. 1 yıl aradan sonra tekrar geldiğimde değişen hiçbir şeyin olmadığını görmek hayal kırıklığına uğrattı.Her taraf pis,çöp dolu,kadınlar tuvaletinde 4 wc den biri açıktı onunda kapısında cam yoktu,mahremiyet yok diyebilirim.,wc ler pis.Yaz sezonu yeni başlıyorken umarım uyarılarımi dikkate alan birileri olur da,bir sonraki geldiğimde bu değişiklikleri de samimiyetle...
