Bursa köprüleri içinde özgün yapısını oldukça korumuş olarak günümüze ulaşabilen Abdal Köprüsü, Nilüfer çayı üzerinde Abdal Çelebi adındaki bir tüccar tarafından 1669 yılında yaptırılmıştır. Orijinalinde 12 gözlü, 5.20 metre genişliğinde olan Abdal Köprüsü’nün orta kısmında karşılıklı olarak biri kapalı diğeri açık iki nöbetçi noktası vardır. Açık olan nöbetçi noktası alttan beş kornişle desteklenmiş, kapalı bölümünün hemen hemen tümü zaman içinde tahrip olmuştur. Kesme taşlardan yapılan köprünün, genişlikleri 2.60-3.60 metre arasında değişen ayakları, suyun akış yönüne göre dışa çıkık üçgen prizma kalkanlar, ters yönde ise destek duvarlarından oluşmaktadır. Köprünün ortası, su seviyesinden 4.85 metre yüksekliktedir. 1978 yılında taşıt trafiğine kapanmıştır. Abdal Köprüsü'nde yapılan restorasyon çalışmaları sonucunda, daha önce altı gözlü görülen köprünün on bir gözü ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Kaynak: Bursa İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü

The Abdal Bridge

The Abdal Bridge was built in 1669 by a merchant named Abdal Çelebi on the Nilüfer river. In the middle of the Abdal Bridge, which is 5,20 meters wide, there are two points of guards, one opened and the other closed, opposing each other. The open guard point is supported by five cornices while the closed one is almost completely destroyed. The bridge made of cutting stones has between 2.60 and 3.60 meters of width, it has triangular prism shields protruding outward toward the flow direction of the water, and has support walls in the opposite direction. The middle of the bridge is 4.85 meters above the water level. In 1978 it was closed to the traffic.
