Pine Harbor Bay — Attraction in Prince Islands

The bay looks lovely from the hill but the really is the beach is almost non-existent, the sea has lots of algae and looks very dead, the seabed is rocky and slimy and the only decent pier requires one to pay to enter and the Ada beach resort looks run down. The place is generally run down and filled with litter. Coming from Cape Town where the beaches are all free, generally pristine, the sea is alive with life, and the sand is white and runs into the sea, this place is a 1/5. What I did love was the lovely person I met and the local food we ate at the little cafe half way along the bay. There is almost nowhere to swim along the entire coast of Heybeliada that is not either ringed with military fencing and no access, or owned by someone who wants to charge you to have a swim, or filled with litter and plastic. Lovey beach, so beautiful. 200tl per person for the day, and it included beach chairs as well as a big dock to run and jump off of. Lots of fun.

However! If you pay only 100tl more you can go to the Ada beach literally right beside it, where they have luxury loungers, kayaks, paddle boards and seaweed blockers.
