The temple was corved into the bedrock or built with stone foundations. It rises on a 3- step crepes. It was built in Ionic order, but it is a feature of the Doric order that it only has an Opystodomos. But the opystodomosta is characteristic of Hellenistic period architecture. The colums surrounding the temple are placed on an abstract numerical axis. The distance between the two pillars is 12 ion pillars:3.54 m. It is thought that the building was covered with a wooden roof. The naos is higher so you can Climb the stairs from Pronaos to the naos. There is a cult statue of Athena polias on the 1 m high base in the Sella. Pytheos collected the measurements he used in this temple in a book and published them. He informs us of this information. A Peaceful Window into Ancient Grace The Temple of Athena in Pirene is a breathtaking yet tranquil reminder of the classical world. Perched above the ancient city, it offers not only a glimpse into Hellenistic architecture but also one of the most peaceful panoramic views of the valley below.

Though the temple is partially ruined, its remaining columns still speak of elegance and balance — you can feel the harmony in the way it was placed, facing both the city and the horizon. If you enjoy quiet, less-touristy historical sites that allow you to reflect, sit, and breathe in history, this place is a gem.

Bring water, wear good shoes, and come around sunset — the light touches the stones beautifully, and it feels like time...
