Booked the 2hr advanced ride for myself and my friend and it was the highlight of our trip! We had been in Uganda for 3 weeks and this is by far my favourite moment of all. We booked very last minute but the staff were fantastic and very accommodating to our timings.
Our guides were absolutely amazing, they looked after us and were very receptive to our feedback, in turn tailoring the ride to our wants and needs, the guides also took the most amazing photos and videos for us, even galloping shots. I could not be more grateful for this as any rider will know how difficult it is to get footage of yourself riding.
The horses were lovely and brilliantly behaved, they are practically bombproof there were dogs barking, children screaming, cars, bikes, trucks and everything under the sun appear as we went through the most beautiful scenery and villages of Jinja and the horses didn't flinch once, we definitely felt very safe on them and make the ride that much more enjoyable. They are amazing sure footed as some Ugandan roads can be a bit sketchy and not once did any of the horses falter. Extremely well trained and responsive to the rider, as I mentioned we were walking, trotting, cantering and galloping over all terrain and never once felt unsafe.
Again I could not recommend enough, if you enjoy riding and finding yourself in the area I highly recommend. They offer slower rides also which I will definitely do next time to take in the most beautiful scenery over looking the Nile and rural Uganda.
10/10, will definitely...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our 2-hour adventure ride. Reserving was easy. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, given a lovely place to sit and get ready. Staff checked in with us about our experience, got us fitted with helmets, half-chaps, and water. They kept our luggage safely while we rode.
Horses were really lovely. I had a very responsive, well-mannered, and cared-for thoroughbred that was happy to run. We enjoyed the trots, canters, and a wonderful uphill gallop as well as meandering through the villages and chats with the guides. They were also kind enough to take pictures of us by the Nile.
I'm so grateful for this smooth, delightful, and reasonably priced experience and could easily recommend Nile Horseback...
Read moreThe place is nice and the horses look healthy and well treated and the people were friendly .
Only two star because of this: As a not professional rider but at least with riding experience for me the saddle looked and felt very shaky. I guess that was also the reason why I nearly fell out of the saddle while cantering. 2.My girlfriend also felt not comfy with the saddle and the horses (she was riding since her childhood) and wanted to go back and they ignored her wish for almost half an hour. Just because I said that cantering would be fine they seperated us for more than an hour. So we havent had the chance to do the riding experience together like we wished so. We didnt get asked how it was - thats not very...
