I recently visited Amabere ga Nyinamwiru with Josh and Amanya, and it was an unforgettable experience! The stunning limestone caves, rich with history and cultural significance, were truly mesmerizing. Our guide shared fascinating legends about the site, making the visit even more immersive. We also explored the nearby crater lakes, which offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The combination of adventure, nature, and history made this trip one for the books. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area-it's a hidden gem worth exploring! With Eshande Safari's Explorer Uganda

After the hustle and bustle of Kampala, it was a refreshing moment to visit Amabeere Caves. From the friendly and welcoming staff to my all-patient guide Patrick who made sure my tour was captured both on camera and at heart. The hospitality was top-notch and thank you Michael for reminding me of my mother country 😊. All in all the waterfall was breathtaking, the caves intriguing and the hike up the hill awarded me with a spectacular view of the area and crater lake. Definitely, a good place to connect with nature and unwind.

If you ever want to relate culture and science, this is the place to visit. Culturally they will tell you how the kingdoms in Uganda are related to this place whereas scientifically you will see the different volcanic features formed like the stalactites and stalagmites. The preservation of this place let’s you hear the different stories of belief related to this place. Located in Fort Portal town a few kilometers along Bundibugyo road, you will be able to see the signpost next to that of the prominent Nyakasura High School.

Review for management and staff: Firstly, this place is extremely disorganized. I waited 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Despite asking multiple times, I was never given clear pricing information. To make matters worse, I experienced blatant discrimination. I was unfairly charged non-resident prices because of my light skin, despite showing a picture of my Ugandan passport (I don’t carry the hard copy for safety reasons). The owner, Mr. Araali, refused to honor the Ugandan pricing, insisting I was a foreigner simply because of my appearance. I had hoped to support this place, but after this discriminatory experience, I can only conclude that the owner is more interested in money than fairness. I had a terrible experience and will never recommend this place to any of my American tourist friends. We will take our money elsewhere. Mr. Araali, you need...

Are you planning a trip to Fort Portal? Then Amabere ganyinamwiru should be on tourist sites to visit. This stunning geological formations in a cave with falls on top are amazing, the guide who guided us there told according to the local legend, the stalactites are actually the breasts of a princess who was locked away in the cave by her father, a powerful king. The princess was known for her beauty and intelligence, and the king was afraid that she would be married to another king and used to overthrow him. He decided to lock her away, and cut off her breasts in an attempt to make her less attractive to potential suitors. However, the princess' breasts were transformed into the stalactites, and her milk continued to flow from them and while here should not miss the hike to the hills in the back as they give a great view of the crater lakes and the...

The place is nice The waterfalls are nice The caves with stalagmites and stalagmites are good, obviously if you're used to European underground caves this is a small open air version of it.

So it's a nice detour in fort portal after the more famous attractions

The stars are only three because as in many tourists attractions (moreover the little bit less famous ones) in Uganda the safety is not on point The pathways are really challenging and can be dangerous for not used hikers moreover in slippery environments. Today we really risked the life of one of the guy in our group, who was rolling down from the path and for really luck didn't get hurt or even died.

It's ok to leave wild experience but the situation must...
