What an experience it was! A terrific experience in Semliki, foothills of Rwenzori mountains. As you go along the way to the hotsprings, you will be welcomed by a very cool and pleasing mountians of Rwenzori AND LOTS OF LUSH GREENS which i love. I always enjoy seeing green, nature, fresh and living stuff. Its an amazing to be with Nature all the time and appreciate their importance as a whole. This place is protected by UWA or Uganda Wildlife Authority. once you arrice, please go and pay for the entrance fees, and as you walk like 5 minutes to the first destination which is Femal hotspring, you will see a lot of different monkeys, baboons, colourful birds and more other animals in the wild. Its an amazing nature walk. Arriving here, you will be welcomed by a smell of the boiling hot spring. It is really hot that if you put an eggs, it will be ready for eating after 10 minutes. The place is terrific and the experience is great! . The Hot spring is at 93 degrees celsius. and sometimes reaches to around 105 degrees so dont burn yourself. Funny story, when i heard hot spring - i thought i am going to be dipping and splashing but apparently, the temperature here in semliki is not for bathing. So yes, I brought my trunks and towels as i was very excited to be in the hot spring just like any other hot spring in the Philippines. Perhaps , if you really want to bathe, - go to the opposite direction , 2 to 3hrs drive from Semliki in Kiwa , Kasese area. Enjoy and Safe Travels!
