16th august 2020, I have had the best experience ever of Uganda. I have been in the country for over 20years and travelled to other countries too but I have never had such a rich experience in one place. The culture, the history, the stories and most of all Mr. Gerald. His guide through the place; the rich knowledge, the art, the air. The garden is filled with a breathtaking variety of useful medicinal plants, fruits, and vegetables—like a natural pharmacy. There’s a plant for every ailment, offering solutions straight from nature. The owner and their family are incredibly kind; they welcomed us with warmth and prepared delicious food for us. Our hosts Jared and Fiona were so incredibly nice and gracious, treating us to a delicious local lunch and then teaching us all about the local culture and history of Kisoro. We also had a lovely tour of their garden, learning about the medicinal uses of many local plants. It was such a treat learning from them, and I look forward to returning again soon. 10/10 would recommend visiting here on any trip through Southwestern...
