16th august 2020, I have had the best experience ever of Uganda. I have been in the country for over 20years and travelled to other countries too but I have never had such a rich experience in one place. The culture, the history, the stories and most of all Mr. Gerald. His guide through the place; the rich knowledge, the art, the air. We visited the Home of Kigali Museum for the second time, and it’s truly a magical place. The garden is filled with a breathtaking variety of useful medicinal plants, fruits, and vegetables—like a natural pharmacy. There’s a plant for every ailment, offering solutions straight from nature. The owner and their family are incredibly kind; they welcomed us with warmth and prepared delicious food for us. We had such an amazing time at the Home of Kigezi. Our hosts Jared and Fiona were so incredibly nice and gracious, treating us to a delicious local lunch and then teaching us all about the local culture and history of Kisoro. We also had a lovely tour of their garden, learning about the medicinal uses of many local plants. It was such a treat learning from them, and I look forward to returning again soon. 10/10 would recommend visiting here on any trip through Southwestern...
