The ziplining experience here is nothing short of heart-pounding. Soaring through the lush canopy of Mabira Forest, you can feel the adrenaline rush as you embrace the breathtaking views. The well-maintained ziplines and safety measures ensure a thrilling yet secure adventure for all daredevils.

“Travel and tell no one, live a true love story and tell no one, live happily and tell no one, people ruin beautiful things.” ― Kahlil Gibran

I have read many of Khalil Gibran’s writings, and i love and recommend them, but with this particular one, I disagree. This weekend I just couldn’t help myself but tell you what we did! Leaving the covid chaos and worries behind, I and my travel partner Ruth hit the road last night with one goal, to do something exciting this year, despite the turbulent times. The zip line at griffin falls, followed by a 2-hour guided nature walk was all the revival we needed to bring the energies back. The forty meter climb to the zip line above is a clear promise of fear, and adrenaline filled excitement, enough to precipitate a heart attack. After you survive the climb, the view is breathtaking! The last zip line carries you across one of the many rivers in the mabira forrest,

I didn’t even know they had those in there. lol

Soul, if you are weary and troubled with the times, perhaps it is time to backpack to revive yourself!

Uganda is a beautiful country! Dr....

We came to Griffin Falls Camp to have a rainforest-experience close to the town of Jinja, without driving hundreds of kilometers to the better known nationalparks. When we arrived for our half day birdwatching tour, we were very warmly welcomed by the stuff, before we've been handed over to our excellent guide Robert. Robert is a real expert for birds and other animals as well as for plants. Even before entering the forest, he showed us numerous bird species, that he himself often identified by their voice, before he (or we) even saw them. Robert was well equipped with a pointer, to indicate the bird's position an an app to show the birds again in detail and add some facts. He was always patient and seemed to enjoy every spotted animal just as much as we did. Beside the birds, we also saw a huge variety of beautiful and big butterflies, some beetle, dragonflies and monkey and learned about different trees and other plants in this rainforest.

Thank you Robert and thank you Griffin Falls Camp, we had a wonderful experience in...

We went with the whole family during quarantine, and had the best time. It was really easy to get there (directions are easy to follow). The zip lining was great, and one of the guides even offered to take care of the baby so that I could do the zip lining. He was great (I wish I had asked him his name). The zip lining guides were so calm and helped everyone to have a great time. We had dinner and breakfast there, and the food was okay. Portion size was really big thou, so if you have kids, 2 can easily share one plate. The manger offered to get us a bonfire (10,000 UGX) and it was the best. One thing that was hard was that we had issues with water. They have to pump the water from the outside, and it's something to consider if you have a large group (we had 8 people). I would highly recommend Griffin Falls Camp.
