The place can get very crowded with bus tours but luckily they all do just a very brief visit. If you're willing to wait 10-20 minutes at the little cafe near the start of the track you will most likely have an opportunity to have the track all to yourself. The exact spot where i believe all the travel book photos are taken is about a flat 1km walk...
