I visited the Glow Cats Park in Ajman today, driving all the way from Dubai — about an hour’s trip — because the promotional material made it look like such a lovely experience. They show cats freely roaming around the park, giving the impression that you can just walk in, interact with them, and enjoy a natural, cat-friendly environment. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth.

When you arrive, you first have to pay an additional 5 AED for entrance. That part isn’t a big deal — it’s a small amount — but once you’re inside, you quickly realize how misleading the advertising is. The cats are not roaming freely at all. Instead, there’s a long queue of people waiting just to get a short moment with the cats. And when you finally reach them, it’s actually quite upsetting to see the situation.

All the cats are wearing harnesses so they can’t move freely, and many of them look stressed and frightened. Children are shouting, and the poor cats are clearly startled and uncomfortable. It’s definitely not the calm, animal-friendly environment that’s shown on social media.

Honestly, this place should not be promoted by influencers or anyone claiming to love animals. True cat lovers would find this experience very disappointing, even distressing. I came all the way from Dubai expecting something magical, but it turned out to be a total letdown.
