Beautiful place with great views. The views are very vast and this is one of the best places to watch sunsets. The ride uphill is through sand and SUVs are more preferred although the tarmac is smooth and can be driven with any sedan with decent ground clearance too. Windiest place you could possibly go near Abudhabi city. 4 wheel drive is not mandatory but be more careful in the Sandy road before reaching the hill ascend point.
