Terrible. The kayaks are not the same as in Hatta for example, very very uncomfortable, all of us have pain either in our backs or our legs from the tension of sitting in it, the paddle is very short and water is splashing on you when you paddle. The kayak’s edges are super low and we were all wet, although the instructions say “you are unlikely to get wet, but you may get damp” yea sure, we were all soaked. The current was very strong and 5 minutes in the “adventure” we realized we cannot take this for 2 hours and said we wanna go back, so our “tour guide” said we cannot go back as then he needs to accompany us and he cannot leave the rest of the group… how about having a radio and calling someone if part of the group cannot continue ?!?! I was starting to have cramps in my legs and we simply couldn’t go back ! And this kind of service and set up while the experience costs 175 aed pp?! Finally we insisted we are not continuing, so thank god another group was returning and we went with them, way back was terrible due to strong current we had to go against, and the other guide didn’t bother with us at all, we kept struggling the whole way and nobody cared at all. It was our worst experience ever and they need to invest in better organization for kayak beginners and better kayaks you can sit in !!! Do...
Read morePerfect place for winter outing with friends and family. We reached like 4:30 pm amd stood in the queue for the tickets. We got the chance to get into the boat at 5:15 pm. The early you reach it is easier to get tickets. I went on a Sunday so the queue was a little lengthy and there was only one staff to issue the tickets.
If you take the boat late there is a disadvantage that you can’t see the mangroves. Sunset is the best time.
The ticket is AED 5 per head. The ride in the mangroves was a real pleasure. It was very scenic and we were lucky to see the...
Read moreThis is one one of my favourite places and one of the most beautiful mangroves in the UAE... I have done the mangrove tour 4 times at different times of the day, seasons and tides.. each experience was different and a fun experience. Kayaking through the lush mangrove tunnels is so beautiful. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and they take the time to explain the importance of the mangrove and how to kayak. The serenity of the mangroves is so relaxing. You get to hear the sound of the birds and crickets... it's just beautiful. Definitely a must...
