I recently visited RAK Zoo in Ras Al Khaimah, and it was an enjoyable and educational experience for the whole family. The zoo is well-maintained and offers a great opportunity to see a diverse range of animals in a comfortable setting.

The layout of the zoo is easy to navigate, with clear paths and informative signage that guide you through the various exhibits. The enclosures are spacious and designed to mimic the natural habitats of the animals, which seem well-cared for and healthy. The variety of species is impressive, ranging from big cats like lions and tigers to exotic birds, reptiles, and smaller mammals.

One of the highlights of our visit was the interactive areas, where visitors can get up close and personal with some of the animals. The petting zoo, in particular, was a hit with the kids, allowing them to interact with friendly farm animals in a safe environment. The staff members in these areas were knowledgeable and eager to share interesting facts about the animals, adding an educational element to the experience.

The zoo also offers several well-placed rest areas and cafes, which provide a nice break from walking and a chance to enjoy a snack or drink. The food options were varied and reasonably priced, catering to both adults and children.

Another standout feature of RAK Zoo is its focus on conservation and education. Throughout the zoo, there are educational displays and activities designed to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting natural habitats. This makes it not only an entertaining visit but also an enlightening one.

Parking was convenient and ample, and the entrance fees were reasonable, making it an affordable outing for families. The zoo also offers guided tours and special events, which I would recommend checking out for a more in-depth experience.

Overall, my visit to RAK Zoo was delightful. The combination of diverse animal exhibits, educational opportunities, and family-friendly facilities makes it a must-visit attraction in Ras Al Khaimah. Whether you are a local resident or a tourist, RAK Zoo provides a wonderful day out for animal lovers...

This is a private establishment with plenty of animals. Entry fee is 40 Dirham per person which only includes entry to zoo and viewing animals. There are around 40 lions, tigers and leopards. A big stable is connected to property also where kids and adults can learn horse riding. You can also take picture with Chimpanzee by paying 50 Dirham per person. Feeding and patting can be done as well but you have to buy cattle food for 5 Dirhams a bunch. There was a small Cafetaria serving tea, juices, cold water, ice cream etc at very reasonable prices. There is also a play area with bouncy castle and couple of rides but you have to pay extra. List of animals includes snakes, ducks, turtles, alligators, lions, tigers, monkeys, racoon, mongoose, eagles, vulture, leopards, chicken, peacocks, ostrich, deer, camels, buffalows and Arabian oryx. You can also rent a golf cart to go around in Zoo at 100 dirhams for 40 minutes. The area is quite big and a good place to...

Me n family spend good time at zoo. Entry fee is 40 AED for all above 03 years of age. There is a small grocery with chips, water bottles and ice creams only. A small toy shop as well. You can drive through(self drive) carts for a rent of 100AED for 40mins. You can have fun without cart as well, there is enough Clean sitting areas and shaded areas which you can njoy n watch animals closely. Animals are taken care off. Very clean n tidy, animals cages are near to each other, so much walking is not required to see all the animals in the zoo.

Highlights - Very frndly chimp with his trainer. You can take pictures for cash. (Reasonable price). Crocodiles and alligators are on the other side of the zoo. 🐎 Stable outside the parking area.

Cons- eventhough the zoo is clean there are flies which makes bit annoying all...

Zoo is located about an hour journey from Dubai, you can easily locate it as it’s just by the road. There is a entry fee of 40aed (applicable for adults and children), which is fairly priced. The Zoo is in a wide spread area, part of it is covered with sheets giving the visitors good shade and part of it is open. Electric cars are available for visitors to rent them and stroll around the zoo. All animals are maintained well, they definitely looked like they are fed well and are taken care of in a good way. Many species of animals are at the zoo. Tigers and Lions are maintained very well and find a lot of them here. Avoid mid afternoon time for the visit, as the animals will be sleeping and you will not get a good look at it. Overall good place to take your children and family, zoo gives a relaxing environment and worth the drive.

We visited Ras Al Khaimah Zoo on a mild winter afternoon, and it was surprisingly pleasant. The park felt spacious and well-kept. We saw lions, white tigers, cheetahs, Arabian wolves, long-horned antelopes, and spent time feeding goats and llamas—a big hit with the kids. The interactive zone with baby chimpanzees was surprisingly memorable. Our daughter absolutely loved it. Downsides: there’s limited shaded seating, and refreshments are scarce—only a small grocery stall is available. Enclosures vary in upkeep, though most animals looked healthy and active. Overall, for AED 40 per person, it’s a solid half‑day outing—especially for families passing through RAK with children.
