This is a good historical fort located in Masafi UAE. This fort is pretty old and famous for its ancient irrigation system called "The Falaj". Sharing some pics for the little understanding. Small fort But very well maintained. With some old items and majlis. 1 security guy always available as he stay there only. No tickets but you need to do entry in a log book. Place is beautiful. There is ample parking, but zero handicap accessibility. Use Google Map and little geographic sence to reach here. The fort is literally located on a dirt side road behind some village houses. You are allowed to climb on top in some parts of the fort. In fact there is 1 more fort near by which is bigger than this one. You need to ask people or caretaker where is that second fort. Dress modestly and be respectful in the area. You are in a small village and close to Masafi Friday Market where you can buy souvenirs, food, fresh fruits and Vegitables, fresh juices, coconut milk, plants, pottery and woodcarvings etc. Don't forget to bargain 😉 Visited this place with kids and it was a good exposure for them.

Masafi Fort is a historical fort located in Masafi, a village on the border between the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. The Road is small and can pass one car at atime to 1 KM. The fort is known for its traditional Arabian architecture, strategic location, and historical significance. The built as a defensive structure, it was used to protect the region and serve as a watchtower against potential invaders. The fort showcases traditional Emirati architectural styles, with thick stone walls, wooden doors, and watchtowers.Masafi is famous for its natural springs and mountainous terrain, making the fort an ideal lookout point.Masafi Friday Market – A popular local market selling pottery, carpets, fruits, and souvenirs. Masafi Mountains – Known for their rugged beauty and hiking trails. Masafi Fort is a great spot for history enthusiasts and travelers looking to explore the cultural heritage of the UAE

Very nice, calm and beautiful place Only recommend for history lovers It you are a fun seeker don't go there The place shows the past of Arabs and how much they were strong and take care of their defense. Plus, authorities are also concerned to pamper their cultural heritage and this is what they do so. As far crowed is concerned, it was shocking for me that only 4 cars were there in parking (BTW 4th was mine) May be people don't know much about that place or may be there is not much marketing of that
