Al Wathba, located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is a unique natural destination known for its rich biodiversity and geological formations, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and adventurers. Al Wathba Wetland Reserve: Established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it was the first protected area in the emirate. Once a sabkha (salt flat), it has transformed into a mix of natural and artificial lakes, hosting over 250 bird species, including around 4,000 flamingos during autumn and spring. Visitors can explore walking trails of 1.5 and 3 kilometers to observe birds and enjoy nature.
