Sir Bani Yas Island Welcome Center — Attraction in Sir Bani Yas

This was a trip of a lifetime. The island is beautiful and our stay was made perfect with the amazing staff at Anantara.

We stayed at Al Sahel villas, where George and the team made us feel welcome from the first minute we arrived there, with a refreshing welcome drink overseeing the beautiful field of trees with animals.

The villa's terrace was beautiful with a nice small pool for chilling. The terrace is on a field that has gazelles and peacocks wandering, we enjoyed every minute of it.

On our second day, I booked myself a massage at the spa, and had one of the best massages I've had in the UAE (and I've been to my fair share of spas). Thao was amazing, she hit all the pressure points perfectly, I felt like a new person coming out of that spa.

We also went to the beach in the other anantara properties, the beach of the other anantara villa compound was just beautiful (white sand, turquoise water).

On our third day, we had our safari, which we have been looking forward to for a while (especially that our 2 year old daughter never stopped reminding us for like a month about how she wanted to see giraffes).

Khaled picked us up and took his time explaining the history of the island, the nature, and telling us the origin and species of every animal we saw. We saw sand gazelles, mountain gazelles, peacocks, I think 5 different types of oryx (UAE, Indian, Namibian...), giraffes (we got lucky seeing so many, around 12 giraffes I think), ostriches, cheetahs, deer, turkeys... I am sure we saw more.

Our stay was perfect in every way, we felt really bad when we had to leave.

The island is very interesting as a territory and its history. You can relax by completely disconnecting from the rest of the world, surrounded by nature.
