Safari MK soft play and party venue — Attraction in Abbey Hill

When we arrived which was at 1245 the staff of which there were 3 on the desk, could not find our booking, they stated that there we only bookings at 12.45 and 1315, and non in our name, eventually after my wife came in they found the booking. our host did not come and greet us till after 1pm which meant we could finally get to our table. there was continuous confusion as the host was struggling to manage the flow of guest waiting to be shown where the table was downstairs. I cannot blame the guest confusion as the table was not even prepared, and it actually took HALF an hour for the drinks to be finally brought to our table, in that time other tables around us were supplied with the drinks, even before these parties arrived! disgraceful may I say, despite our numerous requests. One can wonder when we would have received our drinks had we not complained on numerous occasions? During our wait downstairs our drinks were not refreshed once, you would think when all you get is some cordial and tea and coffee, the least they could do is provide some extra drinks? a party of 15 kids with parents and we had around 8 cups of tea and coffee and 3 small jugs of cordial?! During that time one of our guests became hungry and orders a hamburger meal, instead of a hamburger meal a hotdog meal was brought out and just left on our table, the guest obviously did not know it was her meal, as it was wrong, and someone else had taken a bite from it. When she went to discuss it with the staff there response was utterly unprofessional, she was simply told that it was left on our table, our guest explained that the meal wasn't even correct, and the woman staff member said in response if you want a hamburger you will have to pay again!! disgusting, and this has caused our guest to request the contact details of the director of the company to make an official complaint, she has also cancelled a party she was going to be holding at Safari MK. When we were taken upstairs to the party room it looked lovely, but the music kept stop and starting, and we had to try and fix it ourselves, the host tried to fix it but when she disappeared without trace it broke again, eventually we just decided to switch it off, ruining the whole pirate feel with no music. After the cake was blown out the host decided to take the cake out after stating she will go and cut it somewhere, good idea with children around, but she didn't come back! and just waited at the exit with the cake, leaving me and my wife wondering what was going on? It felt even though she did make some effort there was just a lack of interest from her at times, leaving to much stress for me and my wife to deal with it all, it probably would have been easier for us had we not had an host and done it all ourselves!

For something that cost over 250 pound for some cordial, tea and coffee and some basic food it was utter overpriced and some of guests have been dealt with In a very unprofessional manner, luckily our son did not notice much of it, but we did and so did some of our adult guest.

PS do not expect a response from the area manager Donna, 2 weeks later and still no...

I'm thrilled to share my review of Safari MK that has consistently amazed me during the two children's birthday parties we've hosted there. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, leaving us in awe each time.

The kids and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed the tasty and well-presented meals. It was evident that the venue takes pride in providing not only a fun environment but also a culinary experience.

Speaking of the environment, the facilities at this soft play and party venue were exceptional. The play areas were well-maintained, clean, and designed to spark joy and excitement in children of all ages. The various play structures, slides, and interactive elements ensured that the kids had a blast from start to finish. The venue truly offered a fantastic space for memorable and fun-filled birthday parties.

I want to give special recognition to Paige and Katelyn, two staff members who went above and beyond during our recent party on Sunday, 21st May. Their exceptional service, enthusiasm, and attention to detail truly made the event extra special. Their dedication and professionalism were commendable, and they played a significant role in creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

In conclusion, I can't say enough positive things about Safari MK. Their outstanding care for party guests, accommodation of needs, top-quality food, and fantastic facilities make them the perfect choice for any birthday celebration. Even though our son is 9, this is his first birthday party, so we wanted it to be extra special for him. The Laser Tag Party was recommended to us by a good friend who said it was the best party she had organised or even been to. She did also say that if I had Adam as our host, we were sure to have a great time.

So, I booked well in advance as I was told that the WHOLE place would be ours after 6pm so therefore they could only hold one party on a Saturday evening, so you need to book it.

Gemma and then Emma were so efficient and made everything easy for us. They did exactly what they said they were going to do (send out the invites to me) and explained exactly how the evening was going to be, so a great start. Just all so easy.

When we arrived at 5.15pm it was very busy but whilst everyone else at MK started leaving, the children had a play and then they had their food which was laid out and was fresh, hot and tasty. At 6pm, the lights went out, the music came on and Adam took over!

Adam is AMAZING. Adam really made it for us. He is so thoughtful, making sure we were happy throughout the evening, and nothing was too much. He was brilliant with all the children of different ages, and he captured their attention and they just listened to him, wanting to hear what his next challenge was. He’s really one of a kind. He is the perfect character and personality to be working with children doing these kinds of activities. His energy and love for what he does just rubs off on everyone and he just made the party extra special.

Adam did not just connect with the children, as he ensured that all those parents who were sat waiting, thinking they were going to have a relaxing couple of hours, were invited to join the children and believe me, even the adults who were reluctant had bright red faces and honestly said they had had a great time. One even wants to organise a corporate event with his work colleagues!

I would 100% highly recommend having a Laser Tag Party here as it’s just different from any other party we have been to.
