Vale Royal Falconry Centre — Attraction in Acton Bridge

We spent a very special morning at the Vale Royal Falconry. It was a special treat for my birthday and we had the Meerkat experience. Our lovely little Meerkats made the experience fascinating. In the hour we spent with them and Nanette, we learned so much about these inquisitive beautiful animals. We where allowed in the enclosure with a bit of special gear provided to help meerkats know we where not a threat. Within minutes of sitting down I had one on my lap and then on my shoulder having a look out into the meadow for any potential threats. I honestly could have stayed longer however, each visit is a private appt. and there was more to see as we where privileged to get a look at several birds of prey and to actually hand feed a vulture. Our next visit will definitely be a Falconry experience! I applaud Nanette and her husband for all the love and care they give their birds and Meerkats. The knowledge and passion Nanette displayed for her charges was incredible. I highly recommend this as a wonderful experience for almost any special occasion or simply a new adventure. My family attended a hawk walk today with my 11 and 9 year old sons. Nanette was attentive, interesting and a fantastic host. She was full of interesting information and made the experience fun for us all. The afternoon was very hands on and we all thoroughly enjoyed meeting the beautiful birds and interacting with them. The experience was tailored to my sons preferences by Nanette and at no point were we rushed or hurried along, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We were lucky enough to also meet Phil who showed us the falcons and had lots of time for my sons and shared interesting knowledge with them. Clearly this is a passion for them both and it shows in their beautiful centre and their relationships with the birds. I booked a meerkat and birds of pray experience for my partners 40th birthday and I must say Nanette and her husband went above and beyond and made the day so special I honestly cannot thank them both enough!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a personalised happy birthday message on the black board, this little touch really made the day feel special and was a great start to a fantastic day.

Nanette is very knowledge, so learning about these magnificent animals was excellent. We felt very safe and relaxed and had a wonderful hands on time with both the meerkats and the birds of pray.

I highly recommend Vale Royal Falconry Centre to everyone, whether it is for a lesson or just a nice day out, you will not be disappointed!!
