A great experience and very informative tour around the fort with a museum included and surrounding military items to take a look at. An nice insight to a history that has gone by and is in the process of being carefully restored by volunteers. The tour guide was great and imparted lots of interesting information about every aspect from living and working in the fort from days gone by. The fort is in the Allhallows park and it's very close behind the shop area and is easy spotted by the entrance gate and signs. I booked a visit by using the QR code on the sign.

Came across this while exploring Hoo (which has been extensively built over and has all but lost its remote rural agricultural village feel). Wednesday morning tours. The site is being developed for visitors and offers a good insight into preventative defensive warfare in WWII, as well as a glimpse of the mid 19th century anxiety about a French invasion.

A small fort situated in Allhallows. Very much a work in progress and the volunteers have made incredible progress. A very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and clearly love volunteering at the Fort group they are. There's not a great deal to see and alot of on going work is still being done. Worth a visit during of the open days held on site every so often

A stunning example of a Victorian fortification set deep inside the North Kent countryside. At the time of my visit, the fort was closed, but a wander around the surrounding grounds allowed me to delve into the rich military history of the area with an interesting array of exhibits and associated interpretation boards.

The fort is a work in progress and I look forward to returning once more of the site is made accessible...

Brilliant to see the progress of the restoration, on our open day we had a great guided tour which gave us a lovely insight into the history of the site. As this was a special day there were displayed of historical items form the period and first and second world war weaponry and memorobilia. Would highly recommend a visit, particularly on one of the open days where there a extra things...
