A very nice country side park with a good visitor centre that has a cafe and seating inside and out. There are 2 bird hides and an accessible pool to walk around. It is built above a valley on old mining area... There are lots of info boards dotted around... so there are lots of hills but we managed to get my mum down to the river in a wheelchair, holding it tightly and going slowly! Read moreRegular favourite for our weekly walk. Well maintained paths and wide enough to walk 2 abreast and still allow others to pass (I guide a blind person). The main route back to the coffee shop and car park is a steady incline but not overly taxing if you have reasonable mobility. Just take it slow and use the benches along the way if needed. Coffee shop staff are great. Always friendly and happy to chat if it’s not too busy and you’re that way inclined.
