A fantastic long distance path, which stretches from Farnham in Surrey to the south Kent coastline (either Dover or Folkestone, as it forks near Canterbury). The rolling hills can be steep but never too challenging. A lot of the route follows the old Pilgrim's Track and there is a lot of historically interesting places along the way as well as much natural beauty. Plus, the parts that skirt London and dip inside the M25 orbit offer a really interesting and unusual perspective on the capital (from one of the hills you can see to the skyscrapers in the City while being out in rural farmland). This parking privides easy access to fab walks along the trail and down into the valley. Beautiful views over the landscape, on a clear day you can see for miles. It can get pretty muddy and slippy in places after rain. Payment for parking is voluntary, although reasonable, and goes towards the upkeep of the site and facilities (see photo for rates).
